For what it's worth, my take on it is that Mario was attempting to 'leave his foot' in, in order to make the contact so that Mario could go down to win a free kick. Mario had no idea where Parkers head was. He wasn't looking. It was a deliberate attempt to win a free kick by leaving his foot behind in the challenge.

We see this all the time, forwards especially, leave their trailing legs, or deliberately move their trailing legs in a challenge to make it look like they were caught, and then they go down from the 'contact' and it looks like they were taken out.

This is what Mario was attempting to do, but unfortunately (Or fortunately deoending how you look at it) he caught parkers head rather than another part of his body.

I don't see how Webb can say he didn't see it. He could say he didn't 'notice' the stamp but he was looking straight at it in real time, so he did see it & didn't view it as an offence in real time, so whatever I think about it, Howard Webb thought it was ok from 6 yards away.

To now make a judgement on a slow motion replay would be effectively reffing the game by video rather than with the naked eye.

I'll be mighty pissed off if Lescott gets done, as we could go back over the last year & find 50 other identical incidents which haven't been subject to the same punishment incuding a blatant running assault by Rooney at Wigan.

Just watched Tunnel cam, and not one Spurs official or player does anything to sugest a stamp has occured. No berating the rf or lino's players looking happy in Blue Spurs LOOKING DEFLATED, Bale swapS shirts with Mario,who waits in the tunnel, Kaboul gives him a hug. Harry has done it again, he has seen a get -out after a last min defeat which to be fair would be a bitter one.

Not sure you can say Mario stamped on somebody with a deliberate motion, when it appears he didn't make contact. Easier to say he was deliberately trying to miss it.

A buddy of mine was sats near the entrance to the tunnel, he said his head was actually marked. I dont think it was deliberate though.
