Should Mancini go after the FA/refs

Postby Pretty Boy Lee » Mon Jan 23, 2012 9:55 pm

Ala Dalglish earlier this season. Say what you will about that wanker but for a few weeks after that interview they got every bloody call.

I know we hate to be like these arseholes, but seeing how bad we're getting screwed, yes or no do you think Bobby should do something similar and ask why we're copping bans and cards left right and centre while others aren't?

The FA wont think twice about putting him in the stands for four matches if he kicks off, losing players is one thing but losing your boss is another.

I'm surprised he didn't get retrospective red card for the imaginary red card, he was allegedly waving.

( Personally I thought it was an imaginary yellow )

I honestly think he should do it. We've nothing to lose as we're copping it from all angles and other teams see this and are piling it on in interviews and keeping the pressure on.

Although I don't think he was guilty, Lescott is different as he's an England international. There is a definite bias towards England players. Maybe we should just sign them

It would be interesting if some high profile person, (not Mancini), hinted that the FA may be a little racist in the way they punish non English players eg Kompany and Balo get done? The likes of Rooney, Gerrard and Adamget away with assault. The FA even appealing a blatant kick by Rooney

I am sure that's been done already on either a radio programme or a press article. The answer though is surely not for Mancini to "have a go" at the refs. Firstly he isn't that articulate in getting the message across as he/the club would like and more importantly it would do no good whatsoever and might imo do harm.

Best to take it,circle the wagons, keep winning matches, win the league and a cup if possible and maintain the progress to where we are going .....that's the top.

Agreed, and when we in the league it will be all the sweeter.

Sorry Doug but I have to strongly disagree Mate. Our policy of trying to chat with our media critics has failed miserably. Not only has it failed to elicit any more favourable reports from them but attacks by them are now more venemous and more frequent.
All our dignified silence has done is; to create a vacuum of TV time and newspaper space for our critics to fill with yet more odious attacks on our club.
CITY HAS TO DEFEND ITSELF AND ITS GOOD NAME....and it needs to start soon.

I would publicise that in the light of recent events, the club is seeking an urgent meeting with the FA and referees controller, to seek clarification on why there is such a huge inconsistency in their rulings and why City appear to be getting more negative decisions than other clubs in identical circumstances.

There are obviously contractual obligations with certain areas of the media that we must fullfill. I would do so with the minimal of cooperation.
I would make it known that it was felt by the club,; that because the media were using every excuse to publically attack City, Mancini would be withdrawn from all live interviews, as his English was considered insufficeient to deal with such venemous attacks on the club. I would replace him with Platt who would merely give the official City line and no more. On other occasions, I would simply issue the media with pre written information sheets.
I would also downgrade the quality of the catering and hospitality for those who continued to make up negative stories about City
I would pursue an active policy of legal action against any journalist, media outlet and/or publisher who wrote lies or made up stories that portrayed the club in a negative light.

I do think the time has come for city to stop being as nice to the press as they have been.

No more free lunches at our place because the food is good

I think Roberto should just ban the media from his press interviews and all that should happen is a city reporter should ask Roberto questions about the next match (with no leading questions which is all the national media try and do) put the interview on CityTV and let the media make up what they want from that

I have seen and hear the pre match interviews on CityTV and how some of the reporters can twist headlines and reports based on that is a joke

We dont need the press the press need us as we are a huge story and as far as the nedia is concerned the less said the batter as they make up 80% anyway

City have all the motivation needed to stick two fingers up at the media in May, we as fans have enough anger to make our ground a FUCKING BEAR PIT FOR EVERY TEAM THAT WE MEET. IF WE ARE SO ANGRY SHOW IT AT EVERY FUCKING HOME GAME, NO LEAVING EARLY AND RAISE THE FUCKING ROOF.
