Team for tonight?

Postby sandman » Wed Jan 25, 2012 1:19 pm

This is what I would put out though I am expecting Dzeko and Savic to be before Johnson and Zabaleta

-------------Aguero----------------
----Nasri-----Silva----Johnson---
---------Milner----Barry-----------
Clichy Lescott Richards Zabaleta
--------------Hart-------------------

Or maybe even Silva on the left, Nasri on the right with Aguero in the middle and Dzeko up top?

Aguero is too small to be a keeper and hart wont cut it as a lone striker imo.

I'd go with that team but start Dzeko over Johnson. Wouldn't be surprised if they play 5 at the back for much of it. Hopefully Spearing doesn't pass his fitness test.

I agree about Aguero being too small for a keeper, Hart however would be fuclin brilliant as a lone target man .... I reckon so anyway.

I'd love to see Balotelli starting tonight tbh for obvious reasons

Dzeko has to play imo, he needs that confidence back

Is he injured ? He looked off the pace on Sunday + he was strapped up above the knee.

I've just checked and there are no lumps or anything suspect ... oh, oh I see. Nah he's not ruled out just yet, because Sky says it deffo doesn't make it true!!! If he plays it means the appeal has gone in and the club are backing him, (rightly or wrongly) by the 6pm deadline tonight! Might seem unlikly granted but I'd love it SAY LOVE IT if it happens

I'd start with the same team as v Spurs but I would be be tempted to start with AJ in place of Dzeko & pass them to death, then bring him on later if needed. They will pack the midfield with bodys & if we keep the ball away from them, they will become demoralised & tired after the weekend debacle.

Silva was complaining on Sunday of lack of support in midfield & begging Aguero to drop back in order to get the passing game going.

Fair do's bud, I read it on there and assumed it had been announced or something?

Glad to see your bollox are ok, I like to give them a sneaky peek each morning.

I'd be worried that using DeJong would be too defensive considering we need to win by two? I'd bring him on when we go three up.

Thats very optomistic imo.... its Anfield btw, if we concede first we are fucked!

It doesnt matter where it is, United regularly beat teams at home playing wank football because people fear going there, I believe we should give anfield as little respect as we gave old trafford in the 1-6 as we have faith in our much better side.

That is comfortably the best we could put out based on availaiblity and current form. Nil chance Bobby plays it. Kolarov will start as might Dzeko. Sorry, but I groan at that thought.

Not neccessarily. Two goals would still see us through. If we can pull two goals back v rags with 10 men, we can do it v King Kenny's Klan.

It's upto us whatever the team though. If we start to play like we did early season, they are fucked. If we play like we did first half last week, we are fucked. It's about time we hit form again I recon.

How about;

-------------Aguero----------------
----Milner----Silva----Nasri-------
---------DeJong---Barry------------
Clichy Lescott Richards Zabaleta
--------------Hart-------------------

Barry can push forward when needed for a 5 man attack?
