Yes, for some reason.

Alan Green on 5 Live still wants Lescott banned for three games.

Not biased, obviously....

Good line-up; lets hope De Jong will be up to speed, to help Savic recover his composure
And hopefully Nasri will build on his good performance on Sunday

Everyone frothing at the mouth with anti-City bile on 5 Live, so I stand corrected - it isn't just Alan Green, it's all of them.

Oh well, an extra frisson. Graham Taylor is almost wanking he's getting so excited.

I dont mind the Clichy for Zaba sub or the de Jong for Milner sub....but Kolarov and Dzeko? Fuck. Both have been poor. Balo's suspension is killer as Aguero does need a rest and that only leaves Dzeko.

i think that's confirmation that bob doesn't want the carling cup. he better win the league then.

Not impressed with that selection. One of his worst, IMHO. Hope I'm utterly wrong. Savic especially, poor pick Bob.

same here. we CAN win with that lineup - but he's not exactly going all out for it.

None of us can know the staff's careful assessment of players' readiness to play a particular game. We can assume that Aguero Clichy and Milner need to be rested or one or other may have picked up a minor injury and Mancini doesn't want to risk them bearing in mind the Everton game. It's also worth remembering that we only have two forwards for four games. He may want to avoid an injury to one or other during this period. The main surprise is the omission of Johnson. He can hardly be fatigued. Maybe he has a slight injury?

We should have gone for this. This is a cup final. He clearly doesn't rate the competition at all.

I'm thinking what winning it could do for us. Obviously mancini isn't.

Ah well...

With only 2 strikers he wants to save Kun from a kicking which is almost certain what the assasins Skrrrttell and Agggger would give him

Agreed, mate. This might not be the most glamorous cup on offer, but it is a cup and we need those. Also, win or lose there will be big headlines about the game tomorrow, and an aggregate win would be a wonderful way of shoving some of the shit we've had thrown at us back down various people's throats.

A flexible 3-5-2 swapping with 5-3-2?

Have we done that before under Mancini, and are we going to thrive or just be confused? We'll soon find out.
