A Spanish Financial paper has broke the story..it's a respected paper not a tabloid

Everyone seems to be jumping on that initial breaking news but the Spanish are all over it

That could be possibly the best news since our esteemed Sheik took over.

We will have to wait and see if the negative and anti City noises coming from the likes of Rumminigge and the ECA diminish.

Still waiting for the UK to pick this story up? Nothing to be seen in the papers and Sky Sports News doesn't understand.

So has anyone noticed that Spanair has just collapsed?

Soriano was/is chairman I understand.

EDIT - sorry just noticed that they have.

In any case there should be a little caution rather than unbridled joy.

eh ... CEO of an airline and CEO of MCFC are 2 totally different jobs. Hell, all the airlines in the USA have collapsed at some point I'm sure ... they're all propped up by the government now, CEOs have no meaning in that context.

Transport is hard, much harder than football. They needed more capital and couldn't get it. Much the same happened to me on a smaller scale in the transport industry, doesn't mean I'm no good at my other, easier, business! One thing for sure, MCFC won't collapse as a result of lack of access to capital!

Does this signal Pep Guardiola being linked to us, Speculation is no good to us at this point, That said I would take him over any other manager.

Soriano aceptará la oferta del Manchester City

Is that actually genuine Spanish ?

It's like something Sid James or Ronny Corbett would say.

I'd like a translation of the word "CUANTA" that followed our club's name. We've had enough of those in my time.
