for the people asking why? erm why the hell not? does a player have to cost 10mill + for us too sign him now? he will clearly be a squad player for the final run in.

Nope.... nothing at all alike.... its just the r*d shirt.
Quality game though..... I remember playing it for hours and hours as a kid.... especially the indoor mode!

Top quality game although you're talking about the wrong one you muppet!!!! Pizarro does remind me of the midget player especially when he kicks the ball!!!

I love the way kids played games in ties in the 70's lol. Nowadays they're more likely accompanied by a line and some ho ;-)

It was a clear Rookie error on my part.... I'm obviously NOWHERE near as old as you ;-) and have no recollection of THAT Striker.

People are asking why because they are wondering how he will fit in, not because of his transfer fee.

Just me that thinks this is good business then?! Pizarro is a classy player. Technically great and will add numbers to a relatively workmanlike midfield in the absence of Yaya. We need someone metronomic in their distribution qualities. Try as they might, Barry, Milner and De Jong can't control a game like Yaya can technically. Pizarro is a lot closer to him than they are, and we've got nowt to lose as its a loan! Great deal.

It's fine in theory & he could be a very very good signing, provided he actually does that on the pitch & people don't keep nailing him like our players did to Scholes. If that happens, it will have been a very very bad signing.

I don't give a mind us signing him at all provided that, if he comes on and looks like Scholes' grandad, he doesn't play him anymore afterwards. If he does the job then great, it could be a stroke of genius.

Yeah, can be a small margin, a lot depends on first impressions and who he gets thrown in against I reck. One of the worst things as a football fan is frustratedly watching someone who the majority deem to be not good enough, get played and played because the manager doesn't want to admit he's signed a lemon. This is of course, jumping the gun. Hopefully he will be important in this moment.

I know him well as a player having seen him for years at home; as I said before, he has great qualities as a footballer because he0s gifted with great vision and a delicate foot to go with it so he will be able to place any kind of pass, and he has a decent long range shot too.

What worries me is his habit of keeping the ball and dribbling his way out of two or even three opponents, when he gets closed down; if he did that in England as often as he does in Italy, he'd end on his arse and robbed of the ball most of the time as he would expect to get a free kick and the ref would instead wave for the game to continue. Raffing in Italy and England is different and he needs to adjust his game quickly to cope with that, if he does it then he could be of help for our midfield because he can distribute the ball very well as many have already stated.

The best thing is to get players nailing him left right & centre without getting any free kicks when he does it in training & then Bob can tell him to get up & explain how it works. Then when he tackles someone cleanly, send him off immediately. He then knows exactly what will happen in a real game.

If we need a 32yrr old Chilean who has played 7 games this season to bolster our midfield, fine I had not clocked room on our bench for another small skillfull midfielder I am sorry, bowing as I type to get my head around it I was thinking more defender or firepower.
Silly me Loan deal, I am so excited.

That's a mystery. He was in the Roma squad at the start of the season, although it was known that Luis Enrique didn't see him well, because of his habit of keeping the ball too much. Then he was said to have a muscular injury, and that was the last that was heard him here until the start of January when Juve were rumoured to want him, then he left for Chile to help a relative, or so was said.

Wouldn't surprise me that he's been purposefully prolonging the length of his injury as a "payback" because he wasn't in the manager's good graces. Did the same thing with Ranieri last season after a spat they had in the dressing room.

Anyway he's been playing with the youth team lately so he shouldn't be completely rusty.

@Ted: Yeah that might be a good way to make him learn his lesson quickly :D

I know that, I am off to Everton in a few hours though, Cannot see how a bit part player in Jan is gonna be anything more than a bench warmer.

Like I said, maybe he is Bob's new Vieria, brought in to run the dressing room. If he helps impose Bob's way and calms people down at the right time, he could be a big influence in sealing the league while hardly kicking a ball. We need to trust Bob and his methods, this is uncharted territory for us but not for Bob (or John 68)

If Bobby thinks he can make a difference to push us to the title, even indirectly by allowing someone else to rest in the WAFFA, then it's good enough for me. Cant see this 'with a view to a permanent transfer' though. 32.

I agree. I don't see any harm in this deal.

also good luck to Bridge, hope he does well and manages to convince someone to sign him next summer.

When Yaya's not playing its VERY noticeable that we lack players to come and take the ball of the defence like Xavi does. Pizarro does that, and does it very fucking well. We need a deep lying playmaker. Try as they might our current crop, Yaya aside, aren't THAT good at dictating play. He'll maybe struggle in the higher tempo games, yes, but against teams who are content to sit back and frustrate us, a bit like Everton would be if we were at CoMS tonight, he'd be perfect. He'd keep the game ticking over and give us options.

He's a great bit of business if he signs, and risk free too.

It's statistically noticeable that our ball retention and overral possession statistics have fallen considerably since Yaya has left. We're not controlling the ball anywhere near as much. We need to get that back, cos it's when we're at our best. Pizarro could help us do this.
