Continuation of the defence today with Mandaric on the stand. It is anticipated that Arry's case for the defence could start after lunch. Going to be busy this morning so will report further at the lunchtime break ...

Busiest day yet at Mandaric/Redknapp trial. Packed court room in anticipation that we might see Redknapp give evidence in his defence later on today. Quite a few people being turned away this morning. No space. Those without seat had to leave.

Redknapp was in the dock as Mandaric continued giving evidence this morning. Once again Jamie Redknapp is here. He hasn't missed a day yet!

Under cross examination Mandaric accepted that Redknapp was "not a happy bunny" after only getting 5% of Crouch transfer profit

Prosecution to Mandaric: Monaco money was "partly in relation to sale of Peter Crouch, isn't that right?" Mandaric: "Absolutely not"

Prosecution: "I'm saying Mr Mandaric that you paid a a bung." Mandaric: "I don't understand where you are coming from"

Pros: "Your friend Harry Redknapp knew perfectly well the money was connected to sale of Crouch." Mandaric: "You'll have to ask him that"

Prosecution say that Mandaric made second payment to Redknapp Monaco account of $150,000 just days after Portsmouth beat Manchester United

That was a Premier League match in April 2004. Mandaric asked why Portsmouth won. Mandaric: "Because we had a better team. Better manager"

Mandaric says "never in a million years" had he discussed with Redknapp trying to hide money in Monaco

Mandaric says entitled to be friends with his manager and make investment for him, in same way entitled to holiday and play tennis with him

Mandaric: "Being here (in Court) is not something that I deserve, but hopefully one day we can forget it"

Cross examination of Mandaric appears to have finished. Will wait to find out if his legal team will call other witnesses before Redknapp's defence begins ....

Not seeing any evidence of the money being a bonus, lets hope they can get them on some legal mumbo jumbo like tax on gifts or something, atleast where I am from you cannot gift someone more than 2000£ without paying taxes on it.
