Tokyo Blue wrote:He needs to do a few things that he isn't doing at the moment.

1. Don't hide when he is not having a good game. Even when not playing well, he still needs to work for the team otherwise we are effectively down to ten men.

2. Stop diving. He needs to hold off defenders when the ball is played up to him instead of throwing himself around like a water-polo player. We are already struggling with refs and Dzeko's antics do nothing to help. He is not as bad as Balotelli for this but his contribution is not going unnoticed.

3. Try to create something himself. The game at QPR is the obvious example. When he really gets it upon him to make something happen, he can do it. Take his man on. He won't beat him every time, but it gives the defender other things to think about.

4. Believe in himself.

5. Not expect everything on a plate, like some of his fans from his home country seem to do. It is as much his responsibility to be a part of the creative side as any other forward player. Making a chance for someone else is just as valuable as getting one for himself.

6. Do the simple things right. Work off the ball. Make runs. Find space. Chase down defenders. Control the ball when it is played to him and lay it off to a team-mate, then find space again.

7. Make it look like he is trying. City fans have always accepted and will always accept a bloke being shit as long as he is clearly trying his hardest. What is not acceptable is someone with the ability to do really special things who can't be arsed. We've already got one of those wazzocks sat with his thumb up his arse in South America. If Dzeko is not prepared to work his balls off to earn the damn good wage that the club pay him - and current evidence says he is not - then he can go the same way as that other knob. On the other hand, he can show willing and be a top striker in the best team in England.

8. Use his physical attributes. Grow some balls. Wind himself up. Get angry. Be more of a hard bastard. Put himself about. Break a few noses.

So.

Over to you, Edin lad. Are you a man or a mouse?

That is a top drawer post.

Sums up the situation perfectly, imo. I've nothing to add other than to say I echo Tokyo Blue's comments.

First half he did well in my opinion, but the second he didn't (as well as the rest of the team). If it wasn't for the goal that he was partly responsible for, his critics will be way lower, but it happens.

Hopefully he'll score twice tomorrow, n that will change everything.

He played poor against Fulham. Didn't move, shooting was terrible, didn't win a header, kept giving the ball away....

But scored two, yet Barry was immense despite not making one forward pass all day and giving fourteen fouls away for handball.

I bet CARL is pissed off that Lescott didn't make that tackle for Fulham's first goal!

<ou r the one with the rules , hahahahaha mate so he do not do that at all ever , first he score that goal agains QPR becose we have space back then , now if anybody watch fuckin games or just wath will dzeko fuck up , now the whole team stand behind the ball and u must count that is big thing to win or draw against City so ewrybody play like mad , second we miss Yaya. I can see how much he means to the team, hes the only one who can make quick conter and Edin isint hiding its just always 5 players in box all the time waiting for the passes we make all season .Aguero who is that quick can find space and u want that from Edin , croos the fucken ball on 6 yards once strong cross not cross i can count fucken 3 sec before ball is in the area and stop play like fucken Barcelona we dont have 5 Silva just one , play faster atack faster then Es Kun or Ballo will have space to go one on one , Barcelona have 5 of that players in front tjats why they can alweys play like they play ....

Palus,
Sometimes in life it is necessary to take a couple of steps back and take a few deep breaths Mate. It allows you to be a bit more calm and see a slightly bigger picture.

Did you watch that clip? Did you understand it? If you were in it, where would you have been standing?

If you see yourself as one of the crowd, try visualising yourself from the window, you may find the view different and you may understand a little bit more.

Just trying to help you Mate. That's all.

PALUS, you need to get this into your head. It is not CITY'S tactics that are fucking your precious Dzeko up it is our OPPONENTS' tactics. He has no space, we cannot make the defenders disappear so we need players that can make their own space with skill. He cannot do that so is underperforming as a result. It really is that simple and their seems to be no way to solve it other than to get him out of there as quickly as possible!
