I don't know what your point is other than showing that you can't stick to the topic at hand.

We have a player who's scored 16 goals in 27 games! Over 50%! 12 GOALS IN 18 LEAGUE GAMES!

FOR FUCKS SAKE how about supporting your teams players for once? Or do we always need a boo boy (even top of the league by 2 points)?

This is almost as bad as the Yaya thread

After reading the first 10 pages of a thread slagging off Dzeko, you'll see booing is one of the kinder things people will say about a player who has scored 12 goals in 18 league games for a team 2 points clear at the top. I don't like to keep repeating these facts, but when you actually think about them for 1/2 a second, the logical conclusion for anyone with a functioning brain is that Dzeko is doing a good job for us.

Thank you, also it's his first full year playing in England, many times he came in as substitute and still has those numbers.
Look at Carroll who plays 90 minutes every game, 5 goals in 28 premiership games. People talk about Dzeko's first touch, Carroll's is 10 times worse.

What the fuck do you mean by 'supporting your team's players for once'? I support my team and it's players every week thank you but that doesn't mean I have to be blind to their shortcomings. Where in my post have I stated that I am not supporting Dzeko? I merely asked Carl why he continues to defend Dzeko yet is always ready to have a go at Lescott. Statistics don't tell the whole story - yes Dzeko has scored 12 goals in 18 league games but this doesn't hide the fact that he has been poor in many league games this season. I know he is capable of playing a lot better than he has been recently and his performance against Fulham was very good and a step in the right direction. There is nothing wrong with demanding more from players who you know are capable of offering more

And by the way who has been booing him? I haven't heard a single fan boo him at the Etihad this season

And he's been very good too, he gets slagged off regardless because some fans don't rate him. When I've seen him have weaker games either he's been fouled off the park and refs called open season on him or we weren't doing a good job in general.

For the type of game he plays for us, I don't think there's a better player in the premier league. He's a tough guy to defend against and he gives us options.

People can say what they like, but Dzeko allows his performance levels to slip too far, the difference between good & bad days is enoromous; it's too much. Fans can see it & it's obvious particularly from close up, that he can try harder, because you've seen him do it, sometimes even a few days earlier. When a player doesn't give 100% on occasions, that means he becomes the whipping boy for days when the team play less than brilliantly as some people will assume it's his fault even when it's not.

Sean Goater wondered why people were on his case all the time yet cheering Paul Dickov, so he watched what Dickov did in a game; then he knew. From then on people were cheering Sean Goater.

Imo Dzeko wasn't great v Fulham but he was good enough & that's the point. That performance needs to be the bottom of his standard, not the top. He can do it, but he has to push himself or Bob will replace him, whatever people think.

jesus...yr expert at that. Chief Deflection Officer CARL.

Since when are you so soft with someone chesting up to you and telling you your opinions suck?

Are you on some kind of new herbal/vitamin regimen?

cheers

p.s. Jayko was fine this weekend. For a split second it was as if he knew other players on the squad and trained with them all week as well. We'll need more of that, so hope he's been uplifted. Plus he probably got like 1M+ emails/FB posts/tweets or something from the Balkans big upping his work, so that should help i'd hope.

cheers

He gets slagged off because there are too many occasions where he doesn't put enough effort in and fails to apply himself properly. Fans don't mind when players have bad games - nobody can play at top form for a whole season - but the least we expect is hard work and determination, two qualities that have been absent in too many of Dzeko's performance recently. Ted's post sums things up pretty well

I agree with you, he should be criticized whenever he's not putting the effort in. But he gets blamed regardless, seems like some fans can't acknowledge his good performances and usually only point out his mistakes. Like against Fulham, in my opinion he did very well, and got himself on the scoring sheet, but some people still wrote, "he almost cost us a goal". Idk y, maybe that's what kind of reputation he has at City, but if you can criticize him, you should praise his good performances as well.
