Do they get a points deduction there?

This guy that bought them really is a joker, the other guy was there for years and seemed to be doing a wonderful job as chairman, although granted my knowledge on this sucks.

Can Cityger or Ross fill us in on what happened and where it went wrong?
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I think CityGer is a plastic. But Ross will probably know what's going on.

I did think of Cityger, apparently it has been on the cards for a couple of weeks?

Don't follow Scottish footie, but one of the old firm, how on earth was it allowed to happen, do they not have due diligence up there to ensure new owners have the cash?

Yes, 10 points off the total. The title race was over anyway - not sure how Rangers even managed to win it last year tbh.

Ally has been given nothing to work with and the club knows he has a lot of slack with the support, hence why he hasnt been getting much stick as the team has played so poorly this year.

This is without doubt the poorest Rangers team Ive ever seen, since first seeing them in the mid-80's pre-Souness. At least Gers are assisting the SPL be more competitive, as they have decided to go backwards towards to pack. A sad day for the club, but they will be back. Might just be a good thing in the longer run, but in the next 2-3 years it will be a killer. David Murray isnt around to bankroll the place anymore hence the slide towards financial abyss.

Though Celtic arent my cup of tea, they have run their ship a lot tighter and more prudent over the past 10 years and as far as I know are pretty much debt-free. Im sure Beeks will confirm this.

This could be best thing to happen for Scottish football. If Rangers struggle, it would probably mean Celtic are investing less and maybe, just maybe, make that league competitive.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Inevitable. I would think that it means that the club have been informed that they have lost the tax case.

The new owner is a shithouse, no doubt, but this isn't his fault. This is a result of overspending in the late 90's and early 2000's and the payment of tax on the salaries of the Laudrup's, De Boer's, Gazza's and Flo's.

Whyte has obviously decided that Administration is the best way out of the mess. Hasn't come as a shock.

It's shit but Rangers are a hobby for me, I grew in to them because of the circle of freinds I made when I moved up here. I do feel sorry for a lot of people to whom the club is their main passion and who are now looking at years of shit.

Sir David Murray has a lot answer for.

Another thing. How odd that they signed a forward today on £7k a week knowing that the season is over. Fucking bizzare.

At least that will put an end to the premier league talk which in hindsight looks like what the club hedged their bets on?

I wonder where this will leave them FFP side of things?

At least if they clear their debts, maintain their revenue streams they should be better off in the long run.

I've always wondered if Rangers and Celtic were really serious about joining the Premier League why they didn't field a 2nd team in England's non-league pyramid and try and achieve it on merit, then when they, say, got to the conference withdraw from scottish fitba and transfer over.

I'm pretty sure this is totally illegal by UEFA standards, and the reason that Liechtenstein don't have their own league.

Puts an end to it for Rangers, not for Celtic. In fact I would think this makes it much more likely for Celtic!

On the one had, I hope not because I find both clubs and the entire dynamic of their rivalry pretty tedious. On the other hand I really like Glasgow and would love to go to a City away game at either ground.

On that note. I was checking the results on the way in to work today and discovered that more people attended Hull v Btistol City on Saturday than attended a full round of fixtures in divisions 1, 2 & 3 in Scotland.

Here's another bonkers stat

Since the inception of the Scottish league around 1890, the top division has been won by either Rangers or Celtic in all but 19 seasons

I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong but I find that amazing
