I think you forgot to mention the massive caveat "...when he needs to control the ball". I'd love to see some statistics on how many goals he's scored with his first touch. Aguero is a totally different type of player; I think he rarely scores straight from his first touch. Therefore, comparing the two is only relevant to serve an agenda, and not for objective comparison- a bit like talking about how Dzeko will score more with his head than Aguero.

Theres also plenty of times that I guess people choose to ignore where Dzeko perfectly controls a 40 yard ball on his chest, then pretty effortlessly beats 2/3 players to find the open man. In fact almost every game he's able to muscle around the other defenders and hold the ball up until the rest of our team catches up field. He's great at having a deceptive touch that makes the defender commit and miss the ball from being off balance. And if you say his touch is "deceptive" because it's bad, well you're just a knob.

Times where he has a good touch and can hold off the other team greatly outweigh times when the ball bounces off him. But those who already dislike him only seem to remember the latter scenario.

If only we still had Bellamy or Adebayor...
