Goal aside I thought that was a reasonably good half

Porto are a lot better than I thought

Which two chances would be have scored? That's assuming he had the chances anyway as we'd be one lighter in midfield.

He wouldnt last 2 mins in the prem. Biggest pet hate in football is big strong men rolling round like cunts when they are slighty touched, its embarrasing and some players need to take a long look at themselves. HULK YOU'RE A CUNT!!!

Good Goal But where did the the name Hulk come from ffs he goes down easier than Monica

I think its a bit like the Kun thing in that someone said he looked like Lou Ferringo so got the nickname Hulk. He prob also has a very long Brazillan name so Hulk is easier to say and put on the back on ya shirt! Still a diving cunt like!!

Cheers I thought it couldnt of been for running through walls , Come On City , I Know 1-0 wouldnt be a disaster but Balo seems a little rusty ( offsides ) he could do with a litle help .

Beside our away problem, Bob has this "Europe syndrome" that we all know. Since he started the job of manager, he played in Europe only with us and Inter and he managed to win 28 games, 11 games ended with a draw and he lost 12. Imho, this is a poor situation for him, looking at what teams he managed so far.
All in all, we need to start perform in Europe if we want to grow as a club and make the next step, after the way we looked in the past three years in England.
I don't know what will happend in the second half, but it doesn't change anything to the fact that we must perform and most of all, we must perform in front of a Porto team that is a shadow of what was last year.

We've got 5 in midfield and can't keep hold of the ball. And we're not closing them down like they're doing to us. Think a few of them need to have a think before the second half.

You do know that they've won the champions league right? This is a quality european club.

Belting first half. Very enjoyable. We just need to be patient. I think we have an advantage in the air. We need some quality delivery and the goal will come.

Credit to Porto, moving the ball nicely, especially on their left. They do look vulnerable at the back tho.

I'll be happy with a draw.

Created a few decent chances, their defence looks ropey as owt & their keeper is having one of those games - keepers in traccies always look shit & then they pull off wonderful saves - Clichy has proved why Kolarov keeps getting in the team ahead of him, his defending has been crap & bar the odd cross his distribution up front has been crap as well

Fair point. I'm wrong. Mancini is wrong. Mourinho is wrong. Taggart is wrong. Every top manager in Europe is wrong. You're right.

Have you considered putting you're name forward for the England job? We like 4-4-2 here as it wins us all these competitions.

Yeah they already rang me. Busy this summer though. Building a shed you see.

Anyway balo has had loads of the ball hasn't he. All them long balls are paying off. We'll win this 6-1 eaaasyyyyyyyy. He doesn't need someone up top with him for support or anything as he is fucking terrorising them.

Thought we've played well, undone by a quality ball in the box from Lou. Porto are a quality side, especially in the Europa, they've got pedigree. I was thinking it would be a close game with a goal either way scratching it and then back to ours where I'd expect nothing more than a win.

It'd be nice to get a goal at least, I think we'd deserve it from the 1st half, and let's make sure they don't get a second.

You can do it Blues, it's all there, just let it flow.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

He also managed Lazio in Europe, reaching the semi-finals of the UEFA Cup in 2003. He was knocked out by Porto, losing the away leg 4-1.
Roberto Mancini was the man who brought us our first trophy in 35 years. He was the man that brought us our first league title in 44 years. He brought us one of the greatest moments of our lives. He masterminded a 6-1 win at Old Trafford, and a Wembley win over United. He challenged Ferguson, he argued with him on the touchline, he brought success, and he punched the air in delight with the rest of us at the madness of it all. He had style, panache and a winning smile. All those memories he gave us will never be forgotten, in a wonderful period in this club’s long history.
And I swear, we’ll never see anything like it again.
