He just dropped a bit deeper for a while at the start of the 2nd half & it got us playing. Nige & Barry were a bit like the Barton twins at times on the ball. Clever stuff from Yaya (or Bob). Just got us moving as a team.

essential to the way we play ... runs from deep, carries the ball forward and scares the piss out of defenses. without him it is too easy to mark our playmakers out of the game and that makes us rely too much on barry creating from deep, which can be effective but when it's our only plan it's too easy to suss out.

love having yaya back ... with him in the team we would have breezed jan. fucking acon.

Good to have him back....
I'd like to see him and Aguero start vs. Porto and then both rested vs. Blackburn.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.

Really? But Blackburn is so atrocious that we shouldnt need one or both of them....
plus, given the short time from thursday-saturday Id think theyd could use (and may need) a rest.

I guess thats just me.

i had thought he might not start until the 2nd leg. him starting just shows how much we need him, we missed him but like everyone he has his faults, but they are faults happy to live with.
