In my opinion to include a player who gave his all to the club for 9 years and won player of the year 4 times in a most disliked list of all time either makes you about 12 years old or clueless.

Or, if you thought watching him play was mostly like having your teeth pulled (as I did), you had your teeth pulled every week for 9 years, hence the dislike.

That's a fair enough point, not saying he has to be everyone's cup of tea but considering some of the utter shite and complete cunts we've had to endure over the last 30 years I find it astonishing that anyone can include him in their most disliked players of all time.

It's all down to opinion at the end of the day, I've taken disklikes to players that plenty of people seemed to think were decent. Wasn't really trying to have a go at anyone's choice until Ant got all precious, just never expected to see a few of the names that have cropped up.

I always found Nicky Weaver really annoying. Loved the fightback and win against Gillingham in 1999, but Weaver milked the applause others should have had for doing much more. I still dislike him for that.

Mixture of reasons, some because they were the big I am whilst still here and trying to get away. Most of the older players have been removed from my memory, thankfully. The current players are because we've now spent so much and the general lack of effort.

As others have said, I can live with someone giving 100% of very little talent, but those giving very little of a lot of talent drive me up the wall.

Never liked Niall Quinn as a player - never been keen on gangly, beanpole strikers who are only/primarily good in the air and Quinn seemed to 'encourage' us to be more of a long-ball team, than we should have been.

For that same reason, as an aside from the topic itself, never took to Peter Reid as Manager and couldn't stand John Bond, although he got us to Wembley.

Never liked Bond's useless son, Kevin, for that matter. Thought he was an over-rated bottler, like his Dad.
