Is there a pattern here.

Mind you he is a big bugger.

What pattern? What exactly do those 3 have in common? Fuck all. Giudetti is only 19 years old and cost us fuck all. What do we have to lose by giving himself a chance to prove himself in the Prem next season?

Feel bad for the kid. Stupid mistake, yes, but he's only 19 FFS and he obviously meant no harm. Hope this doesn't knock his confidence.

If players like guidetti aren't given a chance we might as well scrap our youth system.

Meanwhile, for context, i can smoke a joint while i get sucked off by a tranny prostitute and the Dutch wouldn't give two fucls, but if i celebrate a goal that puts my team ahead they interview him like he's a Nazi sympathizer. He celebrated a goal. Big fucking woop.

It's one of the dumbest rules in any sport, ever. Easily. Right up there with excessive celebration in the NFL when you score a touchdown. In the 70s and 80s when i was a kid NFL players had some fucking verve and their touchdown celebrations were funny, sweet or humble and they defined the player and sometimes the team. It was fun. Then the gee-hetto 90s and Aughts brought gantasta guns, and throat-slitting which made them clamp down.

What brought this rule on in footy? do tell.

i feel old now.

I don't want to be a negative twat and to piss on everyone's parade, but from what I've seen from Guidetti he doesn't have what it takes to become a world class player. He's on a purple patch right now and seems to be scoring for fun, but if you look at his game it is quite evident that he lacks that extra bit of pace necessary to take the final step.

There are plenty of youngsters who have set the Dutch league alight for half a season or a season to then fall from grace. One good example is the Swede Marcus Berg, who went to Groningen when he was twenty. He had a difficult first season, but was outstanding the second season and also became MVP in the Euros for under 21's. He was then sold to Hamburg where he flopped, then loaned to PSV where he flopped, and is now back in Hamburg where he can't even make the bench. And going on pure football qualities, I actually rate Berg higher than Guidetti.

i don't think that on paper anyone could argue with you. But sometimes players can overcome what they OUGHT to be capable of and do things that make them winners. Surely there's a city player you can think of who might epitomize that mentality over the last 15 years or so. Guidetti might not seem world-class, and he probably isn't, but i think he's still in the oven for a few more minutes until we take him out to plate him and make a final decision on how tasty he is.

Guidetti will be given a chance at City i think. I'm not saying he'll be making the first team bench next season, but they'll run the slide rule over him again in the summer and pre-season and see what he can do and then make a decision.

Guidetti revels: "I have been dreaming about this for all my life"

John Guidetti have been selected for the [Swedish national football team] squad - and Feyenoords top scorer revels in full.
- "I have been dreaming of this all my life", he says to fotbollskanalen.se

He will be a debutant when Sweden meets Croatia on February the 29th. Virtually no one has missed John Guidetti's success in the Eredivisie scoring 18 goals in 16 games, Coach Erik Hamrén have expressed how impressed he was by the 19-year-old.

At a press conference at the Råsunda [football stadium] came the reward. John Guidetti where called up together with names like Johan Elmander and Zlatan Ibrahimovic - and Hamrén also promised that [Guidetti] will be getting playing time.

- I like attitude if there is also humbleness. The little I know of him, he is humble, but in a cocky way. I see him as a top forward. Playing alone at the top of a 4-2-3-1 or together with another forward, says Hamrén.

When fotbollskanalen.se finally get hold of him, Guidetti confirms that a lifelong dream now comes true.

- This is a great day for me, something I've dreamed of and fought for since I was little. To play in the Swedish national football team is a huge honor and it is incredible that I have been called up to play, there is a job however that must be done. I will do everything to show that I belong [at this level] and [to frankly] take my chance, he says.

Even when Erik Hamrén scouted him in Rotterdam this weekend Guidetti realized there was something going on, even if he got himself sent off [following two yellow cards, the last one after celebrating his latest goal and undressing his shirt].

- Now I just want to thank [the coach], and then step up even further to really push me onward. With regard to playing time I do not know so much, I have to wait and see in Zagreb. Now I'll just focus on cheering the lads [Feyenoord players] before our match versus PSV, and then on training and recovery before I meet up with the rest of the Swedish squad.

Where do you see yourself in Sweden's team sheet?
- I am a center forward, but no one knows for sure where I would play, it's not up to me.

If you get to choose between the striker role, "nine", and the more reclusive "ten"?
- Im probably called up as a possible no 9, although I am just grateful to be part of the squad at all, we just have to wait and see how things develop.

What do you think your chances of making it in the final Swedish Uefa Euro squad?
- I cant answer that right now, I'll just do my best.

How do you celebrate something like this?
- Just chilling at home and recover.

Music to my ears. Great news that he's been called up - I hope he has a belter.
