I'm starting to think that the "hulk" nickname is ironic

Another stupid run up for a free kick from Hulk and it gets deflected wide.

Could have been 1-1 there. Porto player on the half volley smashes it over the bar.

Good first half. We need to keep our heads here though.

Enjoyed that half ....Sergio in good form an really enjoying Yaya being back
We seem to be playing different tonight....very direct and look like constant threat but not having anywhere the amount of possession as normal- not sure if this is down to quality of opponents or having De Jong in midfield who doesnt have range of passing.
Think this is our strongest back four and with Jo Hart we look very solid- good dame for Lescott again so far

Think it has the opposite effect of its intention. Slows us down, invites pressure on us and makes it harder for us to push teams back by having less of an attacking threat.

My thoughts too.
On this slippy surface we should allow for mistakes in their half not ours.

Bob saw something in the first leg and set us up to exploit it - either that or he was anticipating Porto having to push for a goal. Aguero looks like he's got another goal or two in him if it stays like this for the second half.

Does anyone think we've been fortunate today to be playing a Portuguese version of January City?

Would like to see more decisiveness in the second half.

I can see why more teams dont play with such a high line against us...on one hand works with us rushed in possession , on other we are only a couple of passes from getting through again and again....
Come on city!!!!

Like I said previously, they seem to get to the edge of our box and not know what to do with it. That's exactly what were were doing through Jan.
