Yeah but when VK was out we had to make do with an unproven youngster, need more depth here especially of Kolo goes to Anhzi

Good call.

On that basis, we need Neven Subotic or, failing that, Simon Kjaer.

I also think Bob would like Cavani and if Spurs really want Adebayor, he might mix it up a little by going for a Modric exchange deal.

To finance all this, the outs would also include Tevez, Kolo, RSC, Savic, all the other deadwood and, if finally necessary, Dzeko.

Much as I rate Lescott, I think we need one more quality CB then preferably one younger or stand in (Kolo if he stays). It's a long season & if both our 1st choices were injured right now, we could absolutely forget even getting close to winning the league.

Ideally it's better to have a pair playing all the time, but it's just not possible in the real world. We will have to rotate in the future.

Very difficult to get in a CB that is good enough to fill in, old enough, and will be happy to sit on the bench but play cup games.

We don't want to rotate the CB pairing.

That's why Savic was a good buy. Ideally Kolo would stay, to be honest he is also just about good enough to step in, but not good enough to hold down a regular starting place. He isnt going to oust VK or JL.

Problem is Savic's development has fucked up abit this season. Lets see if he can recover.

As lernt this summer with the Sanchez c**t , they are indisputably the only club which still has more appeal to top player than us, particularly towards Spaniards or Spanish-speaking in general. and frankly I cant see that appeal being affected by the League title.

withdraw juventus from big spenders club. they are out of money and had already needed to apply to FIAT (holding group) to write off huge debt (about Euro 90m). given the industrial policy of the group, particularly in italy, it wont reapeat again.

I would have thought Barcelona would have to sell to spend £34m under FFP as they are in deeper shit than the rags debt wise......wonder if there will be any decent scraps off the table if they did move for Matinez

Right, but what about the purchase of Fabregas @ less than half his market value or even the Sanchez's, widely less than City's offer?
Unfortunately the current (since Bosman) is the big players' market, not the Club's.

Any of these...

Cavani, Lavezzi, Hazard, Martinez, Pizarro, Thiago Silva, Subotic, Christian Eriksen....

I wouldn't be overly disappointed if any of these go (if we replaced them suitably)

Johnson, Tevez, Kolarov, Kolo, Savic...other than that I like our squad!

Personally i'd have Hazard for Johnson. He's absolutely electric. Messi-esque potential. Lavezzi for Tevez too...I think Balo and Dzeko would both the out and out strikers we need with Aguero and Lavezzi the small buzzing-about types.

Bale would quickly become the boo boy. Apart from the spectacular, his all round game isn't good enough at all. And he hits the crowd more than Kolarov.

The list of outs is much longer than I thought. Forgot about the amount of players we have on the books still.

Ade
Tevez
Hargreaves
Bridge
Boyata
MJ
Weiss
Santa cruz

With tevez on £200,000 us paying £100,000+ of ade's wages still, bridge on £90,000 a week and santa cruz probably over £100,000 a week there must be £550,000 a week in wages there. that's 28 million a year and none of them even play for us. Get them off the books plus the useless ones in the team like savic, AJ, kolo and we have a major reduction in our outgoings for FFP or we have enough spare for 3 big signings. Hopefully none of them will be bale or Sturridge or other players that aren't good enough to win us the CL because that will be the criteria for any new signings.

I think he might have got injured while on loan early on. I'm pretty sure he's back playing through.

If we are going to get him, we will have to really steam in there & get it done I think. We managed that with Silva according to stuff I've read. We had him signed well before the actual official signing date.

If we are getting a new Spanish CEO & he's bringing Tricky Burgerstain with him, they could be influential here.

Personally, I'm going off his performances for us last season (where, after a decent start, he was absolutely hopeless) & his performances for Bolton (where, when he's played, he's been absolutely hopeless). Imo, he's further away from our 1st team now than he was at the start of the season.

Of course, if the staff think he's a future great, then we'll keep him no problem. But if this was a test to determine if he's 'got it', he's failed dismally, injury or not. He looked worse than all of Bolton's other defenders when he did play, & that takes some doing. I don't think they rate him at all.

It would be a pity, as I had high hopes for him.
