Mancini accepted Tevez's apology for his conduct last week and says they have buried the hatchet.

When asked if the pair had met and agreed to let bygones be bygones Mancini said: "Yes, we did everything."

This is absolutely fantastic for the club. Apparently he got a great reception from the fans when he left the field, almost a standing ovation, & ran his bollocks off. If that can be repeated at 1st team level once he gets fit, it's a fantastic boost for our title run in & a huge kick in the bollocks for the rags & their media, who are desperately hoping he will cauise us shit & that a bunch of selfish whingearses amongst the fans will put themselves above the club & cause extra pressure when we least need it.

The idea of club, fans & Tevez pulling together to help us over the line (whatever happens after that) is the establishment's worst nightmare.

see...this is where we disagree. that's the noble, honourable response. It's really how we all feel deep down emotionally. But on a dispassionate level, if Tevez plays, scores, and/or helps us to win the title...i don't give a fuck. The league title is more important to me than how much i think Tevez said "fuck you" to the fans. He's a human being who isn't so smart, grew up in basically a shantytown and is influenced by millionaire businessmen who have made him rich beyond imagination. I bet it's a confusing world in his head, but what i know is he can't do ANYTHING else on the pitch other than give his all. That's what i want and that's all we need.

it's a positive thing dude...i feel.

cheers

Tevez got a little applause when he went off after the warm up(Petrov got a bit more) He got one or two boos when he came out for the game but the applause, although not massive drowned them out.It did seem to me that the booing was almost from the odd fan who maybe wanted to be noticed and when he/they found they wewrent being joined just shut up.

In the game he showed some real quality touches/passes whenever he got on the ball and was just about the only thing we had going forward.Overall in the first half I would say we had a little more of the ball but really had Johansen to thank for the score only being 1 nil to Notlob. He saved a penalty plus to or 3 other good chances that Bolton had.

Tevez did start the 2nd half and was again good on the ball which he was coming deep to find but it was break that brought the goal with City 2 on one on the right side. Tevez waited till the right moment to free Bunn on his right.Bunn's first touch wasnt perfect but he managed to suqare the ball across and Tevez had continued his run and came to the near post to get the ball in.A real goalscorers goal I thought. After 60 or so he was taken off and got a good reception from the fans and no booing.

From the sublime to the ridiculous as Tevez was taken off we brought Fillipe Mancini on and he did what he usually does. Nothing at all good but somehow we started to find a little more space and a great overlap from Wabara (captain for the night) got a good pass and scored with a perfect cross shot.Shortly after and another break saw Suarez straight down the middle take a pass in his stride and beat the keeper well.

It was anything but one sided as Bolton hit the bar and post in the 2nd half and with other chances will feel very hard done to. I met Brian Kidd when I arrived to the question "have you not been home" and as I was leaving spoke with a SKY reporter who had just finished an interview with Tevez.Apparently it is scheduled to be shown tomorrow morning.

Nearly forgot the nice touch from Tevez at half time where he took his shirt off and gave it to a lad in a wheelchair

Good reporting as always, Doug.. it's appreciated.

Fickle, us football fans.. I certainly am anyway! Of course I was angered by the way he treated our club, and whilst I'm not about to buy a shirt with his name on, I take it as a positive that he may be an option again soon (our rivals certainly won't) - because I know he's still one of the best strikers in the world.

I agree with Doom, in that he isn't the brightest, born into nothing and ill-advised by people, with an agenda of money alone.

Good news for me, and if Mancini can bury the hatchet for the good of the team, then so can I.

i was pretty pissed at Tevez, as I imagine most people were/are ... but at this point, I'm past all of that. I think it's a much better/smarter position for the club to be in where we can calmly and cooly use him as a tool to accomplish our goals and then sell him off for a decent sum. We have behaved impeccably throughout this entire tevez saga and I think there are very few clubs/managers that would have had the integrity to deal with it in the way that city/mancini have. Very proud to be able to say that.

If we can use tevez as a weapon in our run in, and he scores a couple of goals along the way to us winning, I will be well satisfied.
