That will be a big week, lets hope Di Matteo hasn't got their arses into gear by then, although I would still fancy us to beat them at home.
Problem is that Wolves play United the day we should be playing Chelsea - if they win that one, we will be a point behind until the rags drop points which will have the media in a total wank fest

They had their chance at domination, expectations must have been that they would overtake United, win the league most years and win several Champions League Titles. They spent a shed load of money but didn't put enough into place to provide continuity. A complete overhaul is pretty much out of the question with FFP but without it how are Chelsea going to compete with the top two in Spain or get anywhere near the top two in the Prem?
You would hope that what City are doing on the academy side will see them set for life, the initial investment includes players who could be around for 10 years or more, they key will be to keep the squad rotating so that we don't end up with a core that all age at the same time but have too much power.
The signs are good. The Tevez situation sets a good precedent -no player is bigger than the club. Mancini can clearly manage his players well and is overseeing the development of structures that will be in place for years.
We seem to have learned from some of the mistakes that Chelsea have made at exactly the right time. We will make a few more a long the way but hopefully the decisions about managers will be a little less hysterical going forward!

There's a lot of talk about Pep Guardiola being brought in for next season, but Rikjaard was the man who laid the foundations for Barca and built a large part of their current team, as well as instilling that 'total footballing' philosophy throughout the Club.
If ever, heaven forfend, Bobby Manc were to leave us, then Rikjaard would be the only one I would want to replace him.
