This Weeks Other Games

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Mar 10, 2012 12:21 pm

A bottom of the league kicks us off this weekend with our old friend Leslie coming north to take on Coyle's lame ducks. Not sure who I want here as I'd usually plump for the northern team but with the likes of SWP, Ned and, to an extent, Barton, then I'm not sure now.

Anyway, here's the games:

Sat

Bolton 2 v 1 QPR
Villa 1 v 0 Fulham
Chelsea 1 v 0 Stoke
Sunderland 1 v 0 Liverpool
Wolves 0 v 2 Blackburn
Everton v Spuds - 5.45 KO

Sun

Rags v Brom
Norwich v Wigan

Mon

Arse v Newcastle

Tue

Dipper Derby

I fear for my Fantasy League team this week looking at those games, hopefully vP will score a double hat-trick and give me a chance of pushing into the top 10, but I can't see it.

Good point, QPR have the money and ambition to challenge.

I wonder if the lino was told to let that one go? Just see that the goal that wasn't, wasn't actually a corner either!

Pathetically shit.

For a team with Cisse, Zamora, Barton, SWP, Taiwo, Ferdinand, Nedum and Taarabt on the books, they really shouldn't be in the relegation zone.

That Bolton resuly could well seal Wigan's fate. It leaves them adrift at the bottom and I can't see them getting much out of Norwich at Carrow Road. After 6 years, it could be the end of Whelan's dream....and for some reason, that makes me feel happy.

Major implications today for Spurs at Goodison, lose and an Arsenal win versus Newcastle at the Emirates will leave only a 1pt gap. It could also effectively end Newcastle's challenge for a top 4 place.

That reminds me - I need to see where I'm up to with my bet with NQDP.

A couple of weeks ago. We had a bet as to whether Norwich would or would not manage three wins between then and the end of the season. (I said they would). Can't find the thread for the life of me now so I can't remember exactly when it was made.
