I can't stand him as a person, but I can appreciate his apparent loyalty to Everton (a characteristic that I value quite highly).

Mclaren and Hughes weren't offered jobs by other clubs when they decided to fucl off partway through their contracts (and partway through the season in Mclaren's case).
