Nothing smarmy about it. I just dont believe you. I dont believe there are any Arsenal fans out there who would describe him as "dodgy". If there are then anyone with an ounce of knowledge would disregard their ridiculous opinions.

Also, it's you that is throwing the insults around, snide, dick, smarmy, wanker, so off your moral high horse and don't talk to me about debate whilst posting this baseless, childish rubbish.

Its unfashionable to admit that there are top drawer players in the Prem who dont play for City.... Bale shit, RVP shit, Modric shit, etc etc.

Its very fashionable to be critical of any player in the Prem who is doing well.

Similar the ridiculous posts you see about other teams intentionally losing to the rags. Apparently Redknapp (sorry 'Arry as is the new board way) rested Bale last Sunday because he hates City and loves the rags.

A few dick head posters set the agenda for many on here at the moment, unfortunately.

Dont think its that mate, its pretty clear that the clubs transfer policy HAS to be retaining player value because in the future you cant afford to do a shevchenko, buying a 29 year old player for 30m, where the value decreases over a 4 year contract to zero. That shows up as a loss to the balance sheet of £7.5m per year, which us a loss the club cannot afford to account for on top of our wage bill to meet ffp rules.

If however you take the example of nigel de jong, you buy a player at 23/24 on a 4 year contract, he starts acting like a cunt after 3 years when his net value to the club is only 4.5m, sell him for 15m and we show a profit of 10.5m on the transfer. At age 33 though he has little or no value, so no way of clawing back any of what you pay out.

That is the simple reason why rvp is not coming to city - it would be like robbie fowler all over again, complete with injuries

Since the board changed the transfer policy, they have clearly stated that they won't be spending any more big money on players with no resale value & there have been NO incoming money transfers for players of Van Persie's age.

If Arsenal agreed to swap him for Tevez, then that would be different but otherwise, even if Mancini wanted to spend the money on him (which I don't believe he does) the board would not sanction it. Mancini will use the next allocated money for younger players, or he won't be allocated the money; it's that simple.

With he advent of he tevez situation, you could say that they are very wise to hold the view that they do.

Were tevez 2 years older we would have kissed goodbye to a decent transfer fee - it is also much more likely that a player aged 30 who has been replaced in the first team will do a tevez or at the very least be disruptive. If a player in mid 20s starts being a cunt or is surplus to requirements, we can move them on.

With the possible exception of milner and lescott, nearly all our squad have appreciated in transfer value since buying them which means that when we move them on, not only will we see a real profit, but the books will get a very healthy boost whenever we move a player on.

In the past, we havent technically made a loss on players due to the way the purchase price is accounted for over the term of the players contract, but we have rarely sold a player at a higher value than we paid and changing hat has to be a good hing and shows the manager is creating value

According to The National (believe the paper is owned by the sheik) RvP has pre-agreed contract terms with us making him top payed player in the league.

Now first of all I don't think it is true, second of all I'd rather see us spend 60% of that money on a TOP youngster like Muniain or some other kid and pocket the rest than blow it on RvP who for sure will be great for a year or two but then will get worse and be worth zilch. Few players keep up their level of play past 33 and he'd have to keep agreeing to 1 year extentions and play at top level untill atleast 36 for it to be worth it. Doubtfull with his injury track record.

Plus I'm sick of robbing arsenals players. We've had enough. Higuin for Tevez I'd be up for tho.

Yes. Spot on. We don't need an older player but Higuin would be perfect.

I havent seen this statement of Manicini untill now.
What can I say, if this happened before Sporting match, I totally understand why Dzeko acted like he doesnt care.
Total unnecessary underestimation by coach.

He would be better off if he just said no comment. No one can argue that RVP is probably the best forward at the moment.
But you cant divide your players, its not a smart move.

interesting. i would contend tho, as i said weeks ago on the topic and as others have done as well, that our transfer policy will not let us spend big money on a nearly 30 year old striker. It won't happen imho.

is he fantastic? of course. he's been beautiful to watch this season. And quite frankly i like watching him play in an Arsenal shirt. Nothing wrong with it. He's a fit there. And i hope he stays there.

Also, the only people who think he's a cunt are opposition fans who've watched their teams get an elbow and then a spanking from him. he's cleaned it up over the last few years, but he had a bit of an elbowing cunthole streak in him for a bit. All my Arsenal mates think he's fucking the bees knees and always have. FACT.

cheers

Doesn't matter what they think if they're not in London. Keep up.

Also my mates think he's a fantastic striker too. Fuckinh Stevie Wonder could see that. They just still think he's got that cubt streak in him. Wasn't that long ago every man and his dog on here agreed. Shame a few nice transfer windows have made some of us think we should buy every single good player alive.

i know yr catching some flak here, but you have to admit he's fantastic. We need another striker. It's not some insane fucking link that the mind has to make from City to RVP, is it?

i agree that we don't/can't/won't buy every kickass player who has the season of their career.

If I'd ever said he wasn't fantastic I'd put my hands up. I think he's fucking phenomenal. Just don't want us to buy him.

As much as I agree with a lot of what you post Ron, I can't agree about Hughes returning.
We have a good manager and Hughes and the club have moved on.

We would be silly to go back to Hughes after the improvements we have seen under Bob.
