Has there been a interview with Bobby yet? I'm interested to hear what he has to say (possibly "..it was all my fault, I didn't prepare properly for this game..")

Points behind the leader - total points earned - there's a few ways to measure progress (or lack of it) really.

I believe we will win the league under Mancini's stewardship but I don't think it'll be this season.

i think if ever it will be this season, but this guy just doesnt have the feeling when to make a right substition or to react whatsoever.
In some team with less talented players, he would be much successful I presume.

We didn't finish 2nd last season we finished 3rd. We may have had the same number of points as Chelsea but they had a superior goal difference and were deservedly awarded 2nd place. If the roles were reversed would you be happy if Chelsea fans argued that they finished 2nd last season? I doubt it. Whatever happens at the end of the season it is impossible to deny that we have progressed under Mancini and are a far better side than we were last season. As another poster stated I don't want us to keep firing managers like we used to and how Abramovich is currently doing because it will simply set us back. Mancini is doing a good job and should be given at least one more season. We need stability

Thought we were playing Barcelona for a minute with that starting line up.

One man up front against a team who were 6th bottom of the league and we are trying to win it.

Give over Mancini.

Hopefully Jose was not just looking for houses in London.

Why Mancini didn't introduce a front man I don't know, it's as if he was playing for the point that led to us getting fuck all, and deserved to be truthful.

He was poor today, it was obvious their defenders were geting too much time on the ball but he probably expected Yaya to close them down like an extra striker. Yaya, as we know, is a genius, but he does his own thing; give him any kind of marking or harrassing job anywhere on the pitch & he simply doesn't do it.

At least Bob saw it & changed it, but then it was obvious that we weren't creating enough & that they had a weakness in the air. He should have thrown the kitchen sink at them much earlier.

It's one thing to criticise him when he deserves it though but quite another to want him sacked when he's potentially building one of the best teams the Prem has ever seen.

Of course we have fuckign improved on last season...we spent another billion quid before the season kicked off FFS !!!!! Even a fuckign spasticated banana would have improved us.

The season is a marathon not a race so all this Barcelonaesque football we played early on in the season will mean shit if we carry on as we are ..5 points ahead and now 1 point behind ,hardly a fucking away win since the scum and that's acceptable ???

Is it fuck acceptable and if we end up second with nothing to show for it I want Mourinho in - end of.

Yes, that is what i said. Same points with them, of course the goald difference sent us third, but still. I really think that no ones wants us to be like Chelsea, a team that had 8 managers in 9 years or 9 managers in 8 years, but we can't hide the fact that we are a club that every manager dreams of, beside Barcelona and Real. We are the club of the future, the owners are not dickheads like Abramovich, we invest in players and in youth and that is the main thing that Bob must consider. We grown as a club, but we stopped in october + to be fair, shitty seasons for Chelsea, Arsenal and Scouse. It would had been a different battle if they were at their best. The main thing is this, i want to continue with Bob, but i am afraid we can't step up from this level, we will never win an european cup with him and maybe, just maybe the league.

On the other hand, i really hope this will be the same as last season, when after the Liverpool game, he made some incredible tactical moves on/off the pitch and we had an incredible end of season. If he doesn't do that now, he will never do it.

Why, for once, can we not just let a manager learn from his own mistakes or from the weak spots he discovers in his team, & let him solve it ?

How could Mancini know that Silva would play like a twat or Aguero be totally ineffective ? You learn about your team in these situations, then you try to improve it from what you've learned. We sack the manager at that point almost every time.

as has Wenger for the last six years... Best teams are the ones who win things in May, not those who can look good in September.

Don't think we should sack him, however, if he does get ditched, he'll have no one to blame but himself.

Barcelona are 10 points adrift of their closest rivals, I just wonder if their fans are wanting the head of Guardiola. Where have Barcelona gone wrong??? Mancini is a great manager and will prove to be a legend at City, we all have to remember that the rest of the teams in the Premiership naturally fear Utd and very few teams will be willing to take them on full tilt...as we have seen when you do take them on they have little or nothing to offer. It has to be compensated for when assessing our manager that the fear of Utd has probably got them 9 points this year at least and that fear is not going to go away anytime soon...that is why City are breaking records and still showing no dividends. We are not feared in the same capacity and that will only come with time and conversely Utd will have to have a couple of seasons on the rack before teams take them on and believe that they can be beat with attacking football.
Hoping our new rollercoaster gives us the thrill of our lives.

Wenger has spent the past 6 years dismantling & wrecking the best team in the Prem. Different thing.

This is the real test for him, if he can motivate the team and comeback from the dead to win the league, he is top, if not, he may go.
Simple as that.

The problem is this, i am convinced after this display, he will sacrifice the Europa league.

Barcelona never surrendered a 5 point lead this season and also Guardiola has won EVERYTHING there is to win at BARCELONA.

Moronic comparison.

in general, i think bob's done well. FA cup. CL spot. decent/good success in transfer market. tactics good, at least at home. when on form, our football is brilliant and exciting to watch. HOWEVER...he's dropped some huge bollocks on (1) his needless tinkering with the starting XI and (2) his fucking stupid, stupid, stupid substitutions, which are nearly always made too late.
