Amen. Back to back games without a goal....both losses. You need to attack yesterday and need a goal badly...you put Dzeko in??? Put Carlos in, I dont care what anyone says, He is a Blue still and I stand behind him. Plus, he is a goal scoring machine.

This post is so simple yet fucking bang on. We need to score several goals in every game from now to end. No matter who scores them.

i'd give him half an hour vs lisbon on thursday night - no matter what the score is as it will get the reintroduction and fan reaction to him over and done with.

better to do it in a cup game than in a league match....

Tevez helped the rags win the title by scoring crucial goals i seem to remember one at Wigan.

I've got principles and like to stick to them. With the Tevez situation like it is, I would sooner us finish runners up to them without Tevez than win the league with him. The world will be a much worse place the day he pulls on a City shirt again.

Correct.

I am starting to edge very slightly towards this way of thinking.

But my answer is still, nah, not really.

I don't know what Tevez's current fitness levels are like but that would be my only worry about him. I certainly think that Aguero looks like he needs a break.
I don't care what sort of cunt Tevez is, My only interest in him is can he play. City are paying him a fortune and some are happy for him to sit on his arse...Let him earn it.

I am not sure he can. It has taken him up to October from pre-season to hit form in the past. Time is something we have not really got that much of.

Both sides of the argument have got merit. Principles v practicalities. I trust Roberto to get it right.

That is my point, i take the same view as Grob, BUT there is no evidence to suggest he would hit the ground running.. just evidence to suggest the opposite... maybe by the last few games he would be up to speed and could be relied on to positively contribute something to games. He is worth a try but too sonn will backfire on everyone, on Tevez, Mancini, other players, the fans, the lot. Forget it till he is fit and has had loads of game time with the EDS.

The other way of looking at it is that the players we have are good enough.. they just need a kick up the arse and told to stop fannying around.

So you would rather finish second to the rags and not play Tevez than play Tevez to improve our chances of winning the league?

first and foremost im a supporter of manchester city fc not any individual player and i will be backing any player who pulls on that shirt wether he has done right or wrong and if that means tevez playing then so be it and this really is the start of his season so if he does get to play and hits the ground running like dzeko did at the begining of the season then it could only be good for us

This makes sense. This is what should be done. Put him on, let the boo birds have their fun....and watch him scorch 2 goals in the final 25 minutes.

Can't someone do a gif with Tevez doing that little wiggle he does, and call it - 'It's Tevez Time'?

Re: Is it time for Tevez

Postby Sister of fu » Mon Mar 12, 2012 8:35 pm

Manchester City defender Micah Richards says he would "love" to see Carlos Tevez return to the first team.

Tevez has not played for the club since manager Roberto Mancini accused him of refusing to warm-up during a Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich last September.

But Richards said: "I've always been a big fan of Tevez - when I'm asked about him I always say I love him.

"Ultimately its up to the manager but I'd love to see him back."

Tevez seemed certain to leave City during the January transfer window after returning to Argentina without the club's permission but the 28-year-old has since apologised to the club and supporters and has resumed training.

He scored 44 goals in only 69 Premier League games during his first two seasons at City and Richards believes he could still recapture that form.

Richards said: "There were games last season where Carlos carried us on his own. In matches like the one at Swansea [on Sunday] he would get a 1-0 win for us."

Instead, the 1-0 defeat in Wales saw City slip to second in the Premier League behind rivals Manchester United, and England right-back Richards knows they cannot afford too many more sub-standard performances if they are to end a 44-year wait for the title.

"We've got no excuses - we need to go back to the drawing board and see where we're going wrong because it's obviously not good enough," he added.

"It's disappointing to drop to second having held the lead for so long, but with 10 games to go it's not over and the derby at our place is going to be even more massive now.

"We have to concentrate on what we do.

"Chelsea is our next Premier League match at home [on 19 March], where we've been so strong, and it's a game we have to win now."
