Sister of fu wrote:Manchester City defender Micah Richards says he would "love" to see Carlos Tevez return to the first team.

Tevez has not played for the club since manager Roberto Mancini accused him of refusing to warm-up during a Champions League defeat against Bayern Munich last September.

But Richards said: "I've always been a big fan of Tevez - when I'm asked about him I always say I love him.

"Ultimately its up to the manager but I'd love to see him back."

Tevez seemed certain to leave City during the January transfer window after returning to Argentina without the club's permission but the 28-year-old has since apologised to the club and supporters and has resumed training.

He scored 44 goals in only 69 Premier League games during his first two seasons at City and Richards believes he could still recapture that form.

Richards said: "There were games last season where Carlos carried us on his own. In matches like the one at Swansea [on Sunday] he would get a 1-0 win for us."

Instead, the 1-0 defeat in Wales saw City slip to second in the Premier League behind rivals Manchester United, and England right-back Richards knows they cannot afford too many more sub-standard performances if they are to end a 44-year wait for the title.

"We've got no excuses - we need to go back to the drawing board and see where we're going wrong because it's obviously not good enough," he added.

"It's disappointing to drop to second having held the lead for so long, but with 10 games to go it's not over and the derby at our place is going to be even more massive now.

"We have to concentrate on what we do.

"Chelsea is our next Premier League match at home [on 19 March], where we've been so strong, and it's a game we have to win now."

Its 21st of March now as they have a FACup game on the 18th of March.

it isn't time for tevez at all, not at all . he can get himself fit which will take at least another four weeks and then he can play for the reserves untill the end of the season.

yes of course he should be back, we needed him against swansea that was blatantly clear to all, mancini would want to stop messing and get him back in NOW.
he will inject much needed urgency and workrate into what is a very slowwwwwww, stop start, predictable offensive unit.

Is it true that due to the success of deretiring the Ginger Whinger, you rags are going to dig George Best up. Or is he already stored in a jar in the swamp dressing room waiting for the call?

For some strange reason I've had some messages come through this morning asking when we play Chelse, then telling me if we lose that it's game over onto we will lose Aguero/Silva et al. I replied with 'What you worrying about, you've already got it sewn up haven't you?, which I haven't had a response.

What's strange is that they are trying to convince themselves that we'll fall apart and it's actually them hoping we'll lose it rather than them winning it. They're a funny lot them, why can't they just support their team?
