eggsackly...in fact nearly fuclin perfect.

I was all fired up at the first half bag of shite, but then....by some miracle, Mancini pulled his head out of his ass, threw on a team and told them to go for broke, playing out of our skins and looking to carry that attitude into the League.

Look, if that's a tactic from the man and he plays all out balls to the wall and we win the league or die trying then hats off to him, because he's a pokerfaced genuis....

Really pleased with De Jong tonight...he was up for it. We will need that cheeky little fucker.

cheers

Yeah right. Admit it lads, it was pathetic, especially now that it didn't get us anywhere.
I have to say I am a bit embarrassed Sergio did that in a City shirt

Savic - Far too inexperienced to play centre half although I'd take Boyata back now he's twice the player.
Kolarov - Can't Tackle, Can't Head, Can't Defend, struggles to take a corner, cross hits its target 1 in 10 times and free kicks are hit and miss.
Dzeko - Best of the bad bunch

£48m of utter garbage.

Probably already been said above, but my $0.02 for what its worth.

We were junk for the first 2 and a half hours of that tie, and only decided to wake up for the last half hour and thats why we are out. The decision to select David "speciality is giving the ball away" Pizarro and leave De Jong, Nasri and Milner on the bench was a major gaffe that Mancini cannot hide away from; we had both Centre Halves missing and yet playing a guy who isnt match fit, gives no protection to those behind him, and spends the game hitting long passes to the opposition full-back isnt my idea of a decent centre midf. Yes, it was your fault Roberto - just as you underestimated Everton, you underestinmated another team last night too.

Four Cup comps now, and 4 separate sob story exits for each one. Not good enough, especially since just like last year we have exited the Europe League to a team that we should have knocked over by 3 or 4 goals. Sporting are average at best and yet we spotted them 3 goals - error by Hart in the first leg, daft and needless foul by Balotelli in a dangerous position, awful defensive header by Kolarov and heads the ball back into play rather than putting it into touch and taking himself out of the game.

Nice comeback at the end to restore some pride, but in the end we are out so we actually get nothing from the whole experience. Now we can concentrate on throwing away the Premier League title and there are no excuses left - we've used them all up in the Cup comps.

I have heard again this morning Mancini saying the preparation was wrong and he takes the blame for this. Now this is the 2nd time in as many months that he has come out and said this and I for is starting to become concerned with this. We are at the business end of the season and he is openly admitting that his perpetration for certain games we lose isn’t right.

We have the ten biggest games in the clubs history coming up and there is no room for error and he keeps saying the preparation was wrong. Just not good enough for this level of football. I’m sure if he wheel's this excuse out after say after derby lose he better consider moving house or leaving the country because he will get lynched. Time for everyone to step up to the plate and stop making crap excuses for piss poor no effort performances.

As for last night, utter garbage first half, good sprit after 60 minutes or so. Good fun in 110 with the singing which Joe Hart seemed to appreciate. Still not happy that we have gone out but at least we have a clear run, if and it’s a big if the preparation is right!!!!!!

Not sure preparation was the right word, but I'd say his team selection was wrong and there was a very odd formation and tactics in the first half - AJ was just standing on the wing, regardless of where the ball was. Fine to stretch play and their full backs, but surely that requires someone on the other wing too? If he was supposed to be part of the front 3 or behind them with Silva, why didn't someone remind him?

That we couldn't pass to a blue shirt was a different matter and something that the players must take the blame for. I suspect Mancini's mea culpa was, like Everton, to deflect criticism. However, he won't get away with it as an excuse for a third time and any further cock ups probably mean losing the league as well. 8 wins, at least a draw at Arsenal and then the lottery of a derby. Nothing else will do.

I'm not taking what Mancini says so literally.

He blames himself to take pressure off the players. He can't keep doing that though because prepared or not, the 1st half last night was pretty much a low point of the season.

Very pleased we sorted ourselves out, and Mancini made a change early that helped us get back into the game.

Pizzaro is the Quarter Back Type that Silva needs like a hole in the head, 60 yard hoofs are not going to get the best out of Silva.
When we pass and move through the MF we are the best in the League by a mile.
