If We Had To Go Out

That would have been the way I would have chosen.

The momentum, team ethic and positive attitude in the second half of the game should serve us well for the rest of the season.

It's a shame we went out, but it could have been much worse.

Agree, KK. I see parallels with the mune FA Cup game when we were cheated. After that we had a good run in the league.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Said as much to the lads I watched the game with, better to go out with a win and loss on away goals than two losses

My disappointment is curtailed by the fact they went out as well. Those extra 3/4 game would have taken their toll on us.

I'd rather have gone out now than in the semi finals and it became a distraction from the league.

100% focus on the league now. Win that and it does not matter. NO EXCUSES.

I really hope that this can be a morale boost. But it can be the same scenario as the FA Cup. We had a mediocre january after that, going out of the CC and the only good thing was that late win with Spurs.

We need to work and use in our advantages this moments. This year we had more comebacks and more late winners, than all the ones we had in the past ten years.

My feelings exactly. At least we managed to stop our losing run of 2 successive defeats. It is a shame that we have gone out but on the plus side at least we can now focus all of our efforts on the Premier League

Wonder what kept us from playing like that in the first half? Hope we carry the second half performance into the Chelsea game. Gutted Joe's header didn't go in!

Didnt have all this "we can take a positive from that" train of thought when we lost in the FA Cup? Then we promptly went and lost to Liverpool too.

We are out, end of. We get nothing from it.

Over 2 legs against sporting lisbon we should not be happy with a last ditch fightback.

We should have mullered them.

United in the cup was a glorious defeat, that was a massive misjudgement untill it was too late.
