Citizens Suite?

Postby gilford » Tue Feb 28, 2012 4:45 pm

I was thinking of treating the Wife (;-)) to a hospitality evening at the Etihad for the Sporting Home tie.

The Citizens Suite "package" seems to be a good all rounder, has anyone got any feedback on it?

The Mancunian sounds great but it does start to get a bit pricey then!

Cheers fellas

I cannot help you re the Citizens Suite but from my experience of hospitality at City I expect that you will be treated very well by professional and customer focused staff. I would recommend the Legends Lounge. Very good food, top quality service and a cracking seat in the corner of the South Stand and CB. NB you will need to pay for drinks but the food comes as part of the price.

Get there a couple of hours before KO so you can relax and have plenty of time to stuff your face.

i went for a hospitality package a few years back - in the days of our reebok kit. had a meal served by waiters and waitresses wearing reebok classics, shell suit bottoms and polo shirts. classy!

Was in it a few years ago for the home match v Arsenal (when they were on their unbeaten run). We lost 1-0 to a Cashley Cole goal. Was a gift from a City fan mate who I acted as Best Man for.

Anyways, food was excellent, facilities in the lounge very good, and you get seats at the back of Block 105 (I think) with an excellent view of the pitch from the central area. The view their is better than the Legends Lounge, having been in there as well.

Hahaha

I can assure that it isn't like that any more. It's very professional.

Just booked it, £90+ VAT so not bad for decent night out, just need to get a hotel sorted now!

I've been in players lounge quite a few times and the staff there are the most polite and helpful people.

Some woman was opening the door for me and was so polite and courteous, it was like I wasn't in England, breath of fresh air!

If that's the standard for someone opening the door for you, they're doing it right at City!

Done a few hospitality games. Twice in the citizen suite and once in the Tudor room. Danny Wilson has sorted us a box out for the Bolton game, which shows what a top bloke he is, and what a top club City are. So if you read this Danny, thank you very much!

Just thought I'd update this incase anyone was interested in ever going for this package.

We had a brilliant night (bar the obvious)!

It really was the complete package for a great night out. The seats were impressive and the food was equally as good. For the £90 per head I cannot recommend it enough.

My only slight niggle is that there was a LOT of sporting fans there, I think this is a rarity as we were warned when checking in about it. It wasn't an issue as such, but a tad annoying having them chanting in your ear during the game and all the home support was coming from across the way!

Can't wait to do it again!

I was surprised they allowed that without segregation. There was a full block of them in the colin bell, and maybe 50 pr so in the other stand. Surprised nobody else commented on this actually - i thought it added to the atmosphere but id have been pissed off if id been sat next to them with a load of silent cunts around me
