Stopped about 4 years ago. Can`t be arsed with the constant shite that surrounds the national team. I went to the Euro`s in 88 in Germany. That`s when it was fun to follow england. Now it`s wank. The fa are wank. The team are wank and the press are wank. So...it`s a NO from me.

I've never been and don't think that now as the England fans seem to have turned into pussies the spectcle of drunken Englishmen being idiots around the world has disappeared there seems to be little incentive to go.Of course, nobody is saying that football hooliganism is cool, what really gets my goat is that while TV networks will report on instances of hooliganism, they never have the nuance to tell us who won. For those of us who like to watch football riots, the only way of judging is by measuring which side conceded the most arrests. The higher the arrest count, the more honorable the victory.

What a very bizarre post that is. The reality is that the hardcore who dont yet have banning orders still go to the away games and look for bother just as much as before.

That will always be the case for away games and tournaments

Is that coincidence, or did you live in Macedonia?

In that vein, I have seen Western Samoa and Argentina play rugby more times than Wales, despite never having visited either country.

Just by coincidence pal, I took in The Netherlands V Macedonia a few years back in the Amsterdam Arena. 5-0 I believe it was, Sneijder was superb that night. Pandev was useless for Macedonia. That obviously reveals that I have never seen England live, I'm not against it, I would just rather spend my money on a City away trip rather than coughing up the cash for an England trip. If money was no object I'd love to do both. Oh, but a man can dream.

I went with my 3 kids to watch england v wales in a qualifier at the swamp. We won 2-0 and tbh the atmosphere was worse than anything I have seen/heard. I was expecting a real buzz but it was totally crap in comparison to club football. Just not worth it imo. Plus it was fuclin expensive for the 4 tickets robbing bastards.

Is that a confession that you've been to Old Trafford to support the home team?

More than 99.5% of United fans have ever done, I suppose...

A few of my rag mates were at that game. They were disgusted at the rest of the fans getting on the rag players' backs and said they would never watch England again.

Whilst I would normally applaud the barracking of a mune, if you pay to go and watch England, you should surely put club differences to one side? That, I think is the issue, England is a spectacle where you take the kids to to see all the big name players if you can't get a ticket in the premier league - England not something that a large body of people passionately support which is why watching them is usually such a dispiriting experience

Very different I would expect to any recently formed nations where people know the true value on actually being able to have a national team
