That's it then - we're doomed

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Last City away goal scored from Open Play? Balotelli at Chelsea in early December - unreal.

That helps explain why we are playing catch-up. WIth a patchwork set of centre-halves we need to go for the jugular tomorrow and play right on the front foot. For the Chelsea game Im reasonably confident we can graft out a result, its the upcoming aways that will ultimately determine our fate

The main issue with Savic is everytime he blunders the opo score which is very unfortunate for him. But for the record I would say Joe Hart has made more errors that have lead to goals this season than anyone is our team but for Joe he can kinda counter balance this with some great displays.

Maybe Savic just needs have a really good game which will help kick him on in his career. I recall a certain two players across the road who were dog poo when they came here (to England) but have since gone on to be top class and two of the best in their respective positions. Not holding my breath like but who knows???

If Kompany can't play, then Micah has to play centre back with Zab (if fully fit) or Milner right back.

Although just to add, as Terry is out for them, if Cahill and Luiz play centre back for Chelsea, then our forwards should tear them apart.

Exactly: you beat me over this opinion. It is probably due to that You are wiser than me and spell english infinitely better than me.

Mind all: this is not just an(two) opinion(s), it's a certainty: because if Savic shall start at center back tomorrow night Mancio4ever shall start to advocate Pep.

Fu - the only true player amongst us - is right on the benefit of the fair support but, as someone more eloquent than me recently said, enough is enough!

Have I missed something here???

not at all: perhaps just a poor spell of humour from myself. cheers.
that apart, isn't true that an englishman spell english better than a dodgy italian? the other part was the joking bit.
footballwise I confirm my full agreement with You post, while I regret very much I wasn't able to bring you a good laugh.

that still leave plenty of options before picking a doomed line-up:
A) VK+KT - we all would agree if available
B) Micah switched at CB with Zabba at RB - still more than good enough
C) Micah switched at CB with JM at RB - contingency
D) Micah switched at CB with GC at RB and AK at LB - contingency +
E) Micah switched at CB with Savic at right back - might even result in a positive surprise, but quite scaring nevertheless

This. No Savic, Zaba and/or Milner have to be right back with Micah in the center.

I wonder if DM will put Bosingwa back on the right meaning Ivanovic will be in the center with Luiz/Cahill..

I don't agree that every Savic mistake has ended in a goal. I think he's been really lucky to have only cost us a handful of goals, he is making some kind of mistake, be it positional or technical, almost every minute he's on the pitch. It's very rare he's actually where he's supposed to be. When you consider that Kolo Toure is also a positional nightmare, it really is like pairing Laurel with Hardy.

If Savic starts tomorrow, I'll do what I always do; support him on the pitch & tell the truth on here. I think, if he does start, we will need to score 3 or 4 goals in order to stay in the title race, even if Torres plays in place of Drogba.

I fear we will have one of the worst days we've had for a long time if Drogba plays against him.

It's Bob's choice, but imo even if he gambles on Savic & we win with a clean sheet, it is still a huge gamble & a bigger one than playing Micah there. Neither choice is ideal & both have got a mistake in them but Micah is better at everything than Savic.

If Savic was a leftover player from Hughes, he wouldn't be playing tomorrow night under any circumstances, not a chance.

if we really have no JL and no VK then i'd play with 3 CBs -- Kolo, Yaya and Micah and put literally all four of our forward players on the pitch and a midfield 3 which includes Milner, Nasri and Dejong and just let hell fly and see what happens.

We might as well try something other than the normal shit of some half-arsed lineup of pieces and parts. Without our two best CBs it's time for fighting for your life style shit, and i think something dramatic needs to be done.

the best defense will be a strong attacking display.

cheers

Agreed, with the defence we are likely able to put out, i expect a balls out performance from the off as we will need goals tomorrow just to draw.

thanks God for Teddy sophisticated knowledge of english language.

I dont use to slag any City player. I hate to do it. Actually I only did once - with Ireland, who has played an anti-City effort for more than a year, with disruptive effects on both players and fans. Savic is simply not good enough, not only for the City level but for any top european league, and I am really puzzled why/what the very competent unit of manager and scouts saw in him and fucking when.
