Yeah, it's his second stint. Tbf to him, he did have us play some good stuff, always good to have wingers as a major part of the ethos. And every time he's on the radio, he sounds like a fan of ours. Decent bloke.

He came to City and no supporters wanted him. He won over a lot with exciting attacking football but was always under pressure from the press. He was treated pretty shabbily and replaced with the lamentable Alan Ball...... And still he never slagged us off.
He was underrated if anything.

The fact that you both hold him in such regard, given he was totally out of his depth as a top flight manager illustrates my point.

That he is an extremely decent bloke is never in question, lovely fella. Then again so is my uncle Eddie but he's no more suited to a top flight managers job than Brian ever was. If he was that hard done to, and that harshly treated by City how come nobody else in the upper divisions of football rushed in to give him another managers job?
