Nasri man of the match for me, our most potent attacking force all night. Zabaleta too was a man mountain for us, especially when the chips were down - Silva was anonymous again thus making Nasri even more vital and he stepped right up to the plate.

Some delicious ironies about last night: -

- The City tannoy playing one step beyond, kudos to those with the memory at City and touche Chelsea
- Chelsea fans singing about Channel 5; a Channel and Europa Lge competition they look like they will be getting acquainted with soon, how fitting
- Chelsea's "support" - I seem to recall them banging on about our travelling support last December. Well lads, you couldnt sell all your tickets or are Blue plastic seats one of your new kits?
- City getting the exact same handball penalty decision they got back in December, karma

Great win, but we need to move on right now. If we flop at Stoke it will have all been wasted.

You forgot to add "stand up if you've won the league" sung by the Chelsea fans. Another bunch of thicko fans who no nothing about football before 1993.

Good point Sis.

Another little fact those thickos wont like to recall; -

FA Premier League - Monday 22nd November 1993
Chelsea 0 Man City 0 (Attendance 10,128)

The be all and end all of "Where were you when you were shit?" moments to a fanbase.

The role of the fans in last night's performance shouldn't go unmentioned. When I saw a recording of the game on Sky, they had the crowd mics right down for most of the match (apart from some fucker obviously & blatantly flicking up the slider for the mics nearest the Chelsea fans when they pitifully chirped up, shameful, biased, media ) but in the ground, noise was coming from everywhere & the support kept going when we were 1-0 down. Vieira has just been quoted on Talkshite as metioning the fans were fantastic, just as I'm typing this.

Imo, we, as fans have not been up for it like we should be for a title race. Like the team, weve been cruising through games. Against Sporting, the players showed they can play proper balls out football, & last night the fans showed they can push the team to do it & also pressurise the ref.

Last night had 'Champions' written all over it, but we have to do it every game, & the fans have to push the players to those heights at Stoke & Arsenal. No resigned, arms folded, silent misery if we go a goal down. Cheer them on. We can do this.

Superb post. I wondered to rise this argument several times but I'm not eloquent enough. probably what happened yesterday night amongst brave attending fans is the breaching of the ultimate umbilical cord with the ol' goody Typical City.

I sensed a bit of that terrific support through the fucking coverage of SS ITA, where the english coomentary is disabled due to PL claims and the live atmosphere option as well. So I had just to sense it while suffering the rag biased commentary of the bloody Marianella (a living proof that News Corp. has a rag bias benchmark, internationally) along with the natural Chelsky biased punditry of GF Zola, MBE, one of very few fella italians I'm proud of, but still a Chelsky fan for obvious reasons.

Wilkins on Talksport now. Apparently it was Torres going off which changed the game as he was 'working his socks off'.

Hes a thick cunt he is....It would seem, that to be invited onto TV to talk about football, the only requirement is that you promise to speak like a fucking spastic.

I cannot watch or listen to them as Ill do something petulant like spit on my plasma..which I continuously do when something upsets me and my mrs isn't watching.

I think we can hold off on the predictions of Balotelli being the next Big Thing....maybe its just me...but you get an oppurtunity like that last night and all you can do with it is take a 20 yarder to the far post? I wish he woulda put a fake shot and gone around PC to the right. Not sold on the kid one bit.

I think it's the case that their keeper did well rather than Mario doing badly. The goalie saved it because he is a top class keeper and has been top class for years. It happens. I would accept such criticism if he'd missed the target but a good save is a good save.

This was not the same Chelsea outfit most teams have faced, including those stuffy, overrated, rag, wankers, this was a Chelsea team full of confidence from winning successive games, with a plan, a £50 mil centre forward who has just ended a goal drought, against a City side under pressure with a new CB pairing.

We were better than them in almost every aspect of the game. Their goal was a fluke, coming from a foul which I could see from the oher end of the pitch.

We moved into desperation tactics & once again looked superb when we started doing it. Won & deservedly so.

Mancini was fantastic tonight tactically & at last got it right selection wise, leaving out that useless fucker Savic & picking Micah, as some of us would have done months ago.

To the geezer with the Dzeko pictures & arrows, complaining about Aguero; first of all, I agree that Aguero could have set up Dzeko for more goals during the season & also Dzeko has fucked up several goals for Aguero.

Try running back your recording to a few minutes earlier, where Dzeko miscontrols the ball & loses it half heartedly , then jogs, YES JOGS, back toward the halfway line (he's fresh, fit & healthy having just come on as sub remember) & a Chelsea player who has been on for 80 odd minutes, sprints, YES SPRINTS, down the right side of the pitch, in full view of the lazy, half arsed cunt Dzeko, ending up in our box unmarked, in position to score the goal that fucks up our title hopes if the Chelsea players had been smart enough to see him.

Then, take your Dzeko pictures, your arrows, print them, fold them, pour petrol on them . stick them up your fucking arse, set fire to them & do one.

I hope he changes the club.... Just to prove you all he is top player, and i would always play him... The game didn't change when tevez come in but when dzeko come.... Also last game against lisbon

Wow.

I never knew, untill now, that fans of a certain club can talk so shitty about one of their important players, who played his part in most of the points city has won this season, and played his part in the league position now we're in.

Fucking unbelieveable.

What a bunch of spoiled brats.

So what if the guy says that Aguero should have passed, yeah he should. No matter what the other guy does /should score/ but nevertheless the pass is the best option for the TEAM in that moment.

Also, about that goal Dzeko "spoiled" to Aguero, he was running off Aguero, yet he followed behind him in every direction (because he didnt even saw him) and tumbled on him because he never had intention to pass the ball. Aguero should raise his head up sometimes during the match. To be fair to him, he made some good passes and assists during the season also.
It is not enough to do your best; you must know what to do, and THEN do your best.

I can't start a thread so I'll just post my question here since Dzeko is the hot topic.

Hypothetically speaking if we were to sell one of Dzeko or Balotelli this summer who would you prefer to see go?

I'm leaning more and more towards Balo. He's got bags of potential, but his attitude is just too poor. I could accept it if he has a bad day at the office every now and then and acts like a petulant little prick. But now it's the other way around. The games where he shows up to play football without stupid antics are the exceptions.
