Thinking back, there were quite a lot on here who didn't think he was worth a bit of patience to allow him to learn and develop.

I wonder if any of those City fans will learn anything from that?.....Probably not.
Micah did,
remember that it was under hughes at the time me lad was still getting autographs at the front entrance so i thought id get micah to sign a shirt for me,its pride of place on the lounge wall as been for some time.

I noticed that Micah was in the zone last night in the tunnel before the game.No laughing/messing about and that was reflected in the game with great effort and concentration. I was proud of Micah last night.

He got shit for being a lazy bastard, which he was at the time.

Now he isn't lazy anymore but he's still not a natural up & down the pitch player imo; he just tries harder now.

It's Bob's big blunder of the season & has cost us immeasurably.

Micah was a better CB when he first played there as a kid years ago, than Savic will be when he's in his prime.

I've always thought that CB was Micah's true position, it's just that he's never had the chance to play there next to a quality, cool headed player who he could learn from. He was leaning from Richard Dunne, who just charges about in a state of confusion.

If he'd been playing next to a top quality CB earlier in his career, I recon he'd be nailed on there for England now & the best in the country. It's not natural for him to sprint up & down the wing, he has had to push himself to do it.

I had a mune on FB trying to say that Micah was not even in the top 5 english full backs

I have deleted the fool

Think that two things have contributed to Micahs rise in form:

Firstly I believe he realises now that he is a footballer (and a very good one at that) and not a Gangsta/Rappa (and a very poor one he made) and now that a lot of his previous buddies have now completely moved on and contact severed he has been able to focus on his football. If you couple that with Capello completely ignoring him in the England set up has meant that he has had practicaly no distractions whatsoever, and probably felt he had a point to prove.

When you remember that people were willing to get rid less than a year ago for a rumoured 10 million it's been an amazing transformation.

Fairplay to Micah and long may his rise in stature continue.

I think that's spot on, & fair play to him for putting in the effort to turn it round, as you say.

Micah is the man. When someone is attacking with the ball...and Micah is guarding...I really have this calmness that comes over me as if nothing horrible is going to happen. I get the same feeling with Savic...... ;) If next years home kit isnt total shiite like this years, I think Im going to purchase the Ol' #2's kit. (and maybe a Savic Away Kit as well!)

To be fair, I could've outplayed Torres in those last 20 minutes.

I noticed that too when they showed a close up of him in the tunnel on the big screen. He looked completely focused and that was reflected in an outstanding performance
