Wio....City fans have come out of the woodwork...

Postby Sister of fu » Thu Mar 22, 2012 3:43 pm

Manchester United defender Rio Ferdinand says Manchester City fans have come "out of the woodwork".

City are a point behind Premier League leaders United with nine games to play.

Ferdinand, 33, told BBC Sport: "Walking around in town, you see more and more blue shirts than you probably ever would have seen over the last 10 years.

"But success sometimes brings people out of the woodwork. So fingers crossed we can delay that and make sure that we get this title sewn up this season."

Earlier in the season, City held a five-point lead over United at the top of the table, but now trail Six Alex Ferguson's side after a run of form that has seen the Red Devils win eight of their last nine matches.

When asked if the title might hinge on the game between City and United at the Etihad Stadium on 30 April, Ferdinand responded: "Who knows? We'll have to wait and see. In an ideal world, we'll have it sewn up by the time we go there.

"But I don't expect it to be finished by the time we go their stadium."

"Every game is a cup final now. Every result now is going to sway the title this way or that. If we win the games that we've got left, we win the league. But it's not as easy as that."

United have won the title on 12 occasions since City last triumphed in 1968, but Ferdinand does not believe that there is an extra edge to United's preparations though due to their local rivals being their nearest challengers.

"At Manchester United, that edge comes from within," said the former England captain. "We drive each other on as individuals, as a collective. No matter who we are rivals with for our title, it doesn't matter really matter."

Fuck me....those cunts can't shut up about us can they.

If they think they are "making us nervous" I think they are utterly delusional.....they sound pretty desperate and panicky IMO.

Did anyone watched the pre match show last night on Sky? They had Gullit and Ratface in the show and they started with Wolves - Scum game highlights (?!?), then talked more than 10 minutes about filth, about what Yaya thinks about some word invented by Taggart & what pressure is on us and how good and experience they are in title races & of course, Herman.

Is this the same woodwork all the scum fans emerged from in the mid nineties? or is it a different, less authentic piece of woodwork? I hope somewhere there is some woodwork available for the scum cunts to crawl back into because thats what will happen once their divine right to win everything is taken from them.

Can someone for once and all explain this to me? Experience in title races? 6 or 7 of the squad maybe? Outside of Rooney, Evra, Giggs, Scholes (he of 15 games this year) and Nani (I am sure I forgot someone who is warming their bench), who are playing game in and game out (which Wio clearly isn't) has experienced a title race as a first team player?

De Gea, Cleverly, Young, Jones and Welbeck are all "new" to the team, and Hernandez surely has never experienced a title race in the PL - as last year wasn't much of a race. Last I checked that is about half their starting 11, and guys like Evans have never really played in the past when it matters. I am just sick of hearing about the experience, it it a minority of their contribting squad.

Last I checked we have several players that have won titles in other countries, pressure is pressure. Experience or not, you still have to deal with it. When we win, what will they say about experience?

I've been saying exactly this for soo long! When we win, they will have no excuse and will finally have to admit that we are superior.
