I just hope we are within spitting distance of them when we do

They're each saying the same thing about the other. Lose your fucking bias.

We're bringing back the Golden Boot winner, who is actually contracted to play for the club, after he crawled on his belly back to Bobby and offered a public apology.
phips wrote:I knew that the fact that he was contracted by our team still would come up.
So you dont see bringing Tevez back into the fold as a deperate act? After Bobby said he'd never play for us
and fans torched his jerseys and people on here ripped him (and still do) alot of people are now
willing to "accept" him back into the fold for the greater good of the team and in order to win the prem. league.
Sorry, but thats desperate to me (given our decline in form and how we've needed something like Tevez to jump
start us). As desperate as brining Paul Scholes back.

You are quite correct about the blue tinted glasses and the blue bias...this board is choc full of it. But as it's a City forum, full of pretty hardcore City fans who openly admit to loving City and hating the rags....wouldn't you sorta expect that?
Have you considered that it was Tevez's decision to return to City, whilst it was Taggart's decision to drag Scholes out of retirement.
And...despite \Tevez'z decision to return, he was only considered for selection AFTER he had complied with the conditions set by the club. Consideringwe had replaced him alreadt last summer with Aguero, none of this smells anything like desperation. \in fact if City could have offloaded him they would have been happy to do so.
Taggart is currently trying to get Scholes to sign for another season AFTER the player had made the decision that he no longer wanted to play for the rags.
branny wrote:Robson's comments made me laugh. Referring to the Tevez saga and Balotelli's night out saying that Bacon wouldn't allow it to happen. Quite right. Our players should behave impeccably and could use the likes of Giggs, Rooney and Cantona as role models.

for a full season.
