I know what i'd do.

If it's true then it's looking very much like the best option for both player & club would be to sell. Dzeko is more at home in German football & would probably suit Bayern more as they play with a similar type striker every week & are geared to it.

If he stays at City, he could have a brilliant season next time but if he doesn't, & he plays like this season, we will struggle to get £10 mil for him. If we cash in now, we can replace him with a top quality player for little extra outlay.

Agree. It would also allow me to gauge exactly how fickle Bosnian supporters are. I'd rather talk City with a football fan than a bandwaggoner, and most Bosnians hate Bayern at the moment. It will be interesting.

He has scored 13 league goals being in and out of the team, more than Adebayor.

The problem is he just looks shit. I'm pretty certain he needs to play week in week out to see form. Unfortunately Mancini doesn't offer that.

He started the season in the team, on fire, looked like a brand new player. He went out of the team and has been shit since, and never been given a good run of games.

I don't know why the fucking im defending him, I don't rate him at all anymore. The body language and attitude say it all to me.

*Lets not forget it was Dzeko in Munich who started that whole evening of hell. He got fined for it too. Something must have severely unsettled him that night.

When he gets two games, he usually plays the second one as a lazy half arsed twat; that's his problem.

Whatever anyone says, v Stoke, he did his best imo. Often, he doesn't bother.

He did miss two decent chances though. Once clean through although the keeper did well. The second a pathetic header at the far post. You often don't get that many chances away from home so I don't give him many points for that performance. I still think Aleks should have been given a go in the second half. He can put over a decent ball and that's the sort of service Dzeko rarely gets in our team. We desperately need a proper pacy winger for next season who can give us a decent option when we're struggling through the middle. Overlapping full backs only get you so far.

I agree, but I've found that objectivity with regard to City is a very, very hard thing to come across in Bosnia these days. When I go to a kafana, I generally don't tell people I'm a City fan, because the conversation will quickly turn into a Dzeko-fest, and I'd rather learn their opinions on whatever team/league they follow most than just sit there like a nodding dog, listening to the same stories/opinions that I heard in another bar 2 days before...

Have to say when he plays it feels like the team are carrying him.How many chances does he need. The only decent effort he has shown was when he came on against Lisbon.Really would expect him to be mad to impress when he gets his chance but really what he is giving us is well below what i would expect it's just not nearly good enough. At this stage with the importance of each and every game i would be prepared to give any of the other forwards a start over him.In all honesty i would stick Johnno in over him at least he might offer us some bit of a cutting edge.

Scary isnt it when the suggestion is made that AJ would give us more of a cutting edge than Dzeko or I assume Mario?

We are in the best season ever( well 40 years+) and yet we are currently playing with 2 of our strikers who seem to be completely out of form and maybe even not trying that hard.Usually we hear the comment that it's good they are getting into positions to score even though they are missing them. Mario had a game recently where he missed chances for fun and then got a late penalty and v Stoke Dzeko got a few chances and missed them.

But the overriding thing for me is whether they are really putting the effort in.Whether they are really making runs and putting themselves about and the conclusion is that neither of them are. It's not absolutely nothing at all but just a general lethargy as if it's all going to happen but that's just not the way it needs to be.I watched the game again v Stoke and too often the pair of them get themselves marked in a central position and offer nothing to the midfield except a ball which requires either an immediate lay off (neither of them are good at that anyway) or they try to hold the ball with a big guy up their backside wrestling with them which again neither are that good at.

For me we are at our best when we have only 1 striker playing anything like a traditional role but with masses of movement and forward attacking intent from all around him.Even that player should have licence to drop deep as long as other players are prepared to go beyond him.Aguero and Tevez are very good at this but Mario and Dzeko less so. But ultimately it has to be all about movement and playing the ball with a good tempo and neither of those have been evident of late

I don't think we went balls out to win at all costs 2nd half in the Stoke game because I recon Bob felt we could easily lose & I think he's right. We had stood up to a barrage of unpunished thuggery & had two CB's who were having to strain every muscle to keep Crouch at bay, just purely down to his physical size. Bringing on Kolarov may just have succeeded in leaving a big fucking hole in the defence.

Sometimes it's just not going to happen & you have to take what you can get.

Yes it is, in the long run, and its even more better if they score.
I value the strikers that get into position to score 7-8 times during the game and score once more than those who need only 2 chances, but rarely have any during the match.

Aguero and Tevez are good at this, but I think that Dzeko is also. He can be creative in the middle, but sometimes he tries too much and ends up with nothing - which offcourse makes him look worse than he is.

But his effort is what I hold against him the most. Its really going on my nerves for quite a long time.
