Cos I really really don't sadly.

I can only hope that our players and management team have a more positive outlook than you do, otherwise we might as well all give up trying to win anything ever again.

The media go on about Mancini bottling it and the players not having what it takes to finish the job. In my humble opinion it is many of the fans who are bottling it and don't have what it takes.

For many of my years following City I have thought that the team don't deserve the fans and that if they were half as good as we are then we would have a full trophy cabinet - sadly that opinion is slowly but surely being reversed.

Haha...do you think what I think makes any difference? It doesn't.

I'm normally incredibly realistic and I can tend to see the reasoned side of things. But i'm only basing this opinion on our form, the upcoming fixtures and a healthy dose of reality and our chances are very, very patchy. Our form is average. We're scraping through games and i really don't see it changing over the next few (very tough) games...bearing that in mind I think we'll drop some points. Sadly.

Don't blame me for the players bottling it! That's just silly talk :)

I'm naturally pessimistic, yes, but I have been for ever as a City fan. Can't help it.

However I love our team. I think we're great. I'm not slagging them off. Best City team i've ever seen. However do i think we're gonna win the league? Sadly not...i'm not gonna call for anyone's head or anything. I'm not an idiot. I just honestly don't think we'll win the league given the run in we have and what needs to happen. I think we've made mistakes that will cost us. I fucking hope i'm wrong.

Imagine if we are though.

Whos arse will be squeaking then ?

If we are, great - cos i think we'll beat them.

There, how's that for optimism?

I just don't think we will be. I think we'll be five/six points behind and if we are they'll probably pull a fiver and scrape a draw.

Like Wolves?

Pessimistic? probably. When I say blown it, look where we were and where we are now. The key game , imo, was Swansea. That opened the door for the scum. Player for player we are miles better than them, we should be way ahead. How many of their players would get in our team? Three or four at most I think. Just think we have blown great position this season, the scum are not that great.

I have to agree KK.
Since I started supporting City way back in 1956, apart for a couple of years around the 60s and 70s, to be sat at the top of the league with so few games to go was way beyond our wildest dreams.

Now we're there, the only club by an absolute mile, up there challenging the rags for the title, the likes of Liverpool, Arsenal and Chelsea trailing so far behind that we can almost guarantee a Runners up place....None of the roller coaster...win a few...go to the top...lose a few...drop down again...up, down, up, down and back up again, that we got in 1968. We have been on the case or thereabouts from almost the first kick.

...and instead of celebrating, City fans are full of negativity...If I were a rag, I would be directing every other rags I knew to visit this place and laugh my fucking arse off at the crying City fans on here.

What is wrong with thinking that we won't win the league? I think you're all making the presumption that everyone who says we've blown it etc has no perspective and therefore probably thinks we're shit or something. I don't...

Can't I be happy with everything we have and feel honoured that we have this team and feel fortunate that we get to watch the likes of Aguero, Silva and Yaya...but also think we won't win the league? That's not negativity. Just my opinion based on the current scenario we find ourselves in. I don't HAVE to be positive about our chances of winning the league. In my opinion I think we won't cos we've shot ourselves in the foot. Doesn't mean i'm not grateful of the team I have. Far from it.

Fair enough surely?

No prizes for knowing I dont rate Mancini. Good managers set teams free. Bad ones inhibit them. However I feel our away opponents give reason for optimism. None of them will go defensive because Norwich cant, Wolves are inept, and Toon and Arsenal will fancy their chances. We just might win the last eight.

Based on that logic why is no one calling out the people overly optimistic who are insisting that we're gonna win the league?

It's not far too early to make that estimation. We've played 30 games. That's more than enough to have a very well educated guess at the possible outcomes of the last eight games.

For all the wait and see brigade thinking well be even come the derby, I say this. Not reacting now, before it's too late and thinking all is well could cost us the title.

We are stuttering badly, compare it to a match for instance. We're one down with 30mins to play. Our strikers are not playing well. Should we

A- know they can do better so leave them out there and see if they fix it.

B- make a bloody sub for one of the multi million pound players on the bench?

Thinking all is well now, won't help us in a month if the current trend we can all see carries on. I've not done the maths but I imagine another 4-6 weeks like both teams have just had will cost us the title.

John - you would be happy to come second for the next 5 years..your record never changes.

I dont mind coming second this year but only if I see Mancini getting his fuckign tactics and subs right and I see the players go flat out to win this league...even if it means we just lose out....what I saw against Stoke I dont want to see for the next 8 games. I want total commitment from management to the players.

There is a reason why we are a bit soft and it is not the manager and it is not the players.

It's a cumulative thing that has created a bit of a dilemma. You show a bit of aggression and you get sent off (Vinny v the filth, Barry v Liverpool, Clichy v Chelsea, Balotelli or Zabaleta v anybody). Play it a bit nicer and you keep eleven on the field, increasing your chances of winning, plus you prevent half your fucking team being suspended for the next x matches.

Do you think the ref would give just a free-kick if Silva blatantly elbows a Stoke player? No, neither do I. Do you not think the refereeing annoys them just as much as it does you?

There is more than one way to show commitment: the team are showing their commitment by not responding to this obvious provocation, which is exactly what the likes of howard fucking webb want them to do. The people pontificating about commitment are just the kind of person who would end up twatting someone like phil dowd with his smug, fat fucking face. He knows exactly what he is doing.
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

The mood will be the same. The problem is our away form and has nothing to do with them. If all our games were at home we would win the league guaranteed or your money back. But 4 of them are away.

LDLWLWLD - that is our away form for the last 8 games. 8 points from 24. It's possible we could step up and win 8 out of 8 but people have every right to think it is gone and be gutted about it.

No we havent blown it, it's still in our hands. Even if the Rags win tonight it's still in our hands but if we do fuck up again then yes it could be over. As long as we keep within 3 points of them it's not over.
