I don't think City failed to compete with Stoke physically at all. It's the old chestnut which always gets brought out when we fail to win such a game.

We tackled just as hard We can't join in with the GBH stuff because our players will be sent off. We know that as a fact. We have had it proved to us on several occasions. If one of our players had elbowed a Stoke player in the gob & been set off, we would probably be a point less now & that would most likely have signalled the end of our title challenge.

thank you. eggsackly. you don't need to pull a knife out and hold the opposition hostage. you find a way to fucking play dirty as found outside the lines or just get yr digs in and make sure your opponent knows that you aren't having it.

i know one thing -- i was so angry after watching Silva get smashed in the head that i would have done something to fucking level the score.

If we do that, we get players sent off, probably losing the match, then have the same players suspended for long periods, causing us to lose further matches. We can't afford to do that.

It should be as clear as a bell to anyone with eyes that we are not operating under the same set of rules as every other team in the league. What do you think would happen to Dave Silva if he elbows someone? And where the fuck is his protection? Opposition players know they can lay into him with complete impunity but if he were to give some back, oho, that's a different story.

The team are showing amazing self-control. It really must annoy them just as much as it annoys us, but we can rant and rave. They can't even do that.
