No not yet but at this rate we can't afford any more slip ups or it really will start to slip out of our grasp.

The players really need to get a grip, they are making life very difficult from themselves. So hard to watch the team going behind and desperately attempting to mount come backs. We have been lucky enough to come away with 4 points from the last 2 games to keep ourselves in the hunt.

But then again....I couldn't see them dropping 2pts at the Brittania early in the season. Not just after they had beaten Spurs, Arsenal and Chelsea. Neither did I see them dropping another 2pts against a shit Liverpool team and I certainly never reckoned they could collapse 1-6 against little fragile Citeh!
...and having recovered their form with 3 straight wins, I never saw them dropping 2pts at the swamp to Newcastle.
...then, with 5 wins on the bounce, scoring 17 goals and 0 against, I never saw them losing 2 out of two and dropping 6pts consecutively against a dead in the water Blackburn and a faltering Newcastle.
After a further 3 wins I never saw them only getting a point at Stamford Bridge either.
They now have 5 consecutive wins under their belts and only 9 games left to play. I CAN'T SEE THEM DROPPING ANY MORE POINTS.

I REALLY MUST GO TO FUCKING SPECSAVERS. It can't have been the invincible rags, It must just have been my fucking eyesight.

This.

This "it's over now" paranoia some fans are having is insulting. It isn't over. There's a famous saying, something about a fat lady and singing. Nobody ever said it was going to be easy, but we're still in the race.

Blown it No, passed up a chance to win it in style yes, this is MCFC and nothing comes easy. Even if we finish 2nd lets do it in style, no cat and mouse "WHO DARES WINS". Red nose has balls, I will give him that with a bang average team we beat 6-1 he has done the almost impossible. TWAT.

Agree with all of that.

We have no more Stokes to play away from home now, they are next season's problem, now & apart from the obligatory bent ref we will get here & there, it's mostly going to be down to whether our football is better than our opponent's football.

Silva has lost form but Mancini still has, Nasri, AJ, Dzeko, Aguero, Balotelli & Tevez to use against a selection of teams, none of whom have the same attacking options, backed up by Yaya Toure.

Technically we have hit a wall v bus parking teams but from now on, away from home, it's those lot v the oppo in who can score the most. Arsenal is tricky but if we can't out score Norwich Newcastle & Wolves then there really is something wrong with the set up of the team.

The most 'bus parking' teams we face may well be Sunderland & the rags at home.

I'll be volunteering for a random drugs test, as I'll clearly be hallucinating. Fulham would take a 4-0 defeat now and catch the early bus home. I'll be happy as larry if we still have the better goal difference.

Fulham are the archetypal bottlers at OT no matter which manager, they usually treat it as a day out. I remember Van Horseface scoring a solo goal v them where he looked like he had David White's pace.

Fulham have got players who could easily cause the rags problems but probably won't be able to run because of the shit coming from their arses.

Bizarre things do happen occasionally in football tbf.

In reality though not being behind on the goal difference is as much as we can genuinely hope for.

Agreed. There's clutching at straws and then there's expecting Fulham to get anything other than totally battered this evening.

You have to be realistic and there is nothing at all in Fulhams results this season, to hold out any hope they will do anything other than be lambs to the slaughter. Of the many knockover games Utd have left, this may be the doozy of them all.

I said at the time, that if we miss the title, it will be the crime of letting Fulham back into the game at their place, which makes the difference. Out of all our away games, that has been the absolute catastrophe.

Carl,
I love you to bits mate and maybe you have a point about my positivity but for the last 40 odd years I have fought against the incessant rag jibes with little or no armoury. Relegations, losses and failures, week after week, season after season do not match up to their trebles, doubles, their over inflated arrogance and their smug grins.
For 40 odd years Carl, I have heard such garbage as; City can't, City won't, City never do, City will fail, City this and City that. I have read it in the media and had it shoved down my throat on the TV.....NOW I COME ON HERE AND READ EXACTLY THE SAME NEGATIVE SHITE FROM OUR OWN CITY FANS....can't, won't, shouldn't, couldn't.

Like you, Ted and some others, I want Bob and City to take the remains of this season by the throat, shake it about and deliver its corpse to the Taggart, on the steps of the swamp as we go there to pick up our trophy. You demand it of Bob, you demand it of the players but what about the City fans? Are City fans too scared to exit their comfort zone of failure? Too frightened to actually think we might just succeed...Certainly too bottleless to BELIEVE.

Even though we have sat at the top of the League for most of the season, I have never yet, not even once heard a song or a chant that contains anything like "WE'RE GONNA WIN THE LEAGUE" or "WE ARE THE CHAMPIONS". What the fuck are City fans so fucking scared of?

...and to finish....just on the offchance that we do hit a snag and finish as runners up, D'yer know what Carl, I AM NOT GONNA CURL UP IN A CORNER IN A FOETAL POSITION AND STICK PINS THROUGH MY EYES. I AM GONNA STAND PROUDLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE BIGGEST BUNCH OF RAG BASTARDS I CAN FIND AND TELL EM TO ENJOY THEIR CELEBRATIONS...COS ITS THE LAST TIME THEY WILL EVER DO SO. WE HAVE SCARED THE LIVIN SHITE OUT OF TAGGART AND HIS MORONS THIS SEASON,THEY KNOW IT AND WE KNOW IT.
They don't scare us and they don't scare me...Despite the billions spent by all those other clubs, they have collapsed. With a few weeks left, we are sat at the top and nose to nose with them. Us!...Little Citeh, who they took the piss out of or ignored.

So you can take your tantrums, your cants, wonts, shouldnts, wouldnts, never dos, give em a good polish and SHOVE EM UP YER ARSE.

Luv n hugs.

Using our away form of the last 5 months as a guide

Arsenal - Lose

I think we will beat Utd at home and potentially win all 19 home games, but that wont be enough unless we change how we play away from home.

No we have not.

3 points behind, a home game against them and a better goal difference. It is still in our hands.

I expect that 3 points will go to 4 at some point but they will not win all their games between now and the end of the season. They are not even remotely good enough to pull that off.

Lots of twists and turns to come before the end of the season, I hope you lot have the bottle for it.

Theres been some rather odd posts in this thread. Since when does it take bottle to think somethings not going to happen? Seems that alot of fans are getting stick for thinking that we wont win the league, to be honest thats just bollocks. As a fan you don't have to blindly believe that we will win the league, if you have a belief that we won't then thats your belief, ffs the thought police will be having a field day. Everyone will have a view and thats fine, I'm not going to have a go at those who think we will win it, I just happen to think that we won't, but obviously hope and pray that I am wrong.
