Europa League

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Europa League

Fuck the haters, this is a cracking competition. Shame it has so little prestige in England & Italy, even with the Villas & Spurs' (a couple seasons ago) of this world.

AZ 2-1 Valencia
Schalke 04 2-4 Athletic Bilbao
Sporting CP 2-1 Metalist Kharkiv
Atlético Madrid 2-1 Hannover 96

Athletic in particular is so fun to watch. And what about that winner for Atletico, some peach that.

Great competition indeed. Athletic Bilbao is such a pleasure to watch, their movement off the ball is lovely to watch. And the way the fought back from 2-1 into taking the lead is another thing, against a well organized and experienced side in Schalke.

I should also add that I'm talking about the knock out stages here. The endless qualifiers & group stages can be tiresome, but the same could be said of the Champions League.

If they'd fuck off the CL dropouts & thin out the early stages a bit, it would be bang on.

Id like to see A. Madrid vs. A. Bilbao

word on the street is that we're after Falcao (AM) and Martinez (AB).
interesting.
I'm not really a City fan. I'm just here for attention.
