Mancini

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

I've defended him all season. If we'd lost today because we had Dzeko Tevez Aguero & AJ all stranded up one end & Arsenal scored 4 on the break, I would just shrug & go 'fair enough'. What I saw there is one of the worst, most inept, cowrdly managerial performances I've ever seen.

If someody can explain to me, what the fuck he was trying to do, I will gladly be educated.

Today, he was an absolute wanker.

As incredible as it sounds, he went for the 1 point, instead of all of them. From minute 1, he didn't look interested in winning.

Hard to argue with that. What doesn't he like about going to Arsenal, that's 3 times we've gone there in the league now and played like utter spineless cunts.

This is exactly how I feel, but I don't want to commit this to a long term opinion just yet as I think it's still too raw. What did he think we were doing well as a team to warrant five or ten more minutes of the same during that second half?

just fuck off. the players on the pitch should have done the job that was asked of them.
if you think AJ is the answer to our bad form you need to learn more about football.

What do you think he asked them to do? There wasn't even a hint of a plan once we passed the 65 minute mark - surely some of the players would have been screaming at others to 'do their jobs' if it wa all their fault. Unfortunately only one was subjected to this treatment, and that was nothing new.

This I agree with. Balotelli should have been off at half time. Calling for Mancini's head is ridiculous.

There is a reason that we are negative and shit away from home and that is because our manager is a negative shit house. The good football we played at the start of this season is the exception rather than the rule. We have had shite football for over two years of the two and a half years he's been here. Get used to it because that is what Bob strives to deliver.
Same as two years ago we went to Arsenal playing for a draw when we needed to win. The man is a coward and we will never be as successful as we should be, with him in charge.
Bob out now.
And as for who comes in? Anybody with some balls!

Today?? how about clueless for the last fucking 4 months.....and as I say that Ballo off..we all saw it coming but not the stupid Italian.

SACK HIM NOW !!

Not disagreeing Carl. Today was the last few months in capsule. Doubts have been bubbling for a while. Bringing on Kolarov was beyond any sort of reason and was as clueless and pathetic a sub as I can recall. He looks lost does Mancini and I suspect that the board will act. We've had this title in our hands for so long and then Mancini, he's not alone mind, has horrobly shit the bed.

Ridiculous? I don't agree mate. I think he's taken us as far as he can go and a good number of his signings look total wank; add the numbers up and it's over £100 million worth of pap. As for his tactics, etc, I don't really get it at all.

Ted that's the point. Arsenal are a good side on a run of form. Winning at the Emirates was a hard ask. The trouble is that Arsenal wanted it so much more. We went out with a whimper. When you saw Kompany and Lescott fighting for their lives it makes you furious. How many saves did the Arsenal goalkeeper make. We never even looked like going for it. Yes Silva was out. Yes Yaya was out but you do expect whichever 11's put out to fight till the last dog dies. our performance without the ball was shocking. Our performance with the ball wasn't much better.

You only live once said Balotelli's teeshirt apparently. Back in Italy.

Let's fast forward 12 months till Mourinho has spent £100 million and we've not won the league and the football isn't bombastic. Do we sack him and try someone else? Give any manager at least 3 full seasons.

And in that time how many have this 'free scoring' team managed?
We don't even look like scoring never mind winning away from home. From the position we were in it is a scandalous performance.
And next season this man will be more likely to fall out of the top four than win the title.

Agreed. If anyone wnats to gamble on Mancini, go ahead. But a gamble it will be. He's lost the plot and I suspect there's trouble at mill. The buck stops with Mancini. I think he'll go.
