I think by about ten mins into the second half we were ideally placed to go for a shit or bust attempt at getting back in the title race. Mancini didn't have the balls to do it & much as i like him as a bloke, I'm not sure I can ever fully trust him now.

I can watch a replay of the goal on my computer before they stop celebrating. We are advanced people nothing come easy especially winning at sports. City are truly making strides and Mancini has been the one pulling the strings. To be second in the league with the world hoping for you to fail should show you how well he has actually done. No we haven't been perfect but what team has? Barcelona are behind Madrid are they calling for Peps head. uSCUMnitWITSed are the medias sweetheart its not going to change but we are. Up and up people that's where we are headed and the facts are there season after season. We are more experienced as owners as management players and team. This is the time to stay firm and hold strong City Till I Die.

Even to someone like myself who has been a Mancini licker all season, there is no excuse for it.
If he can lose it today, how do we know he won't do the same next season ? It's on days like this that reputations are made or destroyed.

For the first time this week, i've heard Bobby talking about a possible sacking in the summer, Mario has gone to fucksville lately and no one is even trying to do something to change our situation.

EEE wrote:I'm echoing Ted here; not really any excuses for not pushing it today - not playing free flowing football - fine. Not giving everything to trying to snatch a win - unforgivable. Can't understand why there was no changes made earlier in the game; Tevez should have been coming on a lot earlier. Days like today, I can't support Mancini.
I still think that Mancini can learn from hist mistakes though - I'm willing to give him another season to get get things right. I believe that consistency at the manager role is the most important factor for our long term success. And I still believe that Mancini is competent enough to guide us to this success. Further, I can't see many options that would be better than Mancini.
Mourinho - hard to argue about his competence and results. I'm not gonna bring up that he's bit of a prick and not the person I would like to see in charge of City. However, as other have mentioned - how long would he stick around here? Once again, we need someone that we believe would be guiding City forward for the coming ten years. Don't think Mourinho is that man.
Guardiola - is doing a great job for Barcelona and is more of a gentleman than Mourinho. But how would he cope with the Premiership, how long would it take for him to learn how to play the ones of Stoke and Everton. I also have the feeling he's a bit soft, will miss Spain and wont stay in England for 10-15 years.
Those of you that's dead certain that the only way forwards is to sack Mancini. Who do you believe would get us that long term success and be willing to stick around here for the coming +10 year? Any other names that the usual victims a la Mourinho/Guardiola?

The second half of the season has shades of Eriksson's season when he knew that he was getting sacked.
