Going for the title in the PL is something else to any oter title race, should we not give him the opportunity to learn from his first try? If we don't give people ONE chance to learn how is the club ever going to evolve?

The difference, though, is that where Evans has stepped up for them, Savic was brought in here and has played like a fucking donkey.

Mancini's man management also looks, as far as is possible tell, a bit questionable: Tevez (OK, he was being a shit), Bellamy, Adebayor, now fucking Balotelli.....
I'd not be trusting him with a transfer budget. Neither would I continue with him. So, yes to the OP, he has to go.

Everyone needs time to learn. This was his first full season, he has fucked it up. He should not fuck it up next season. .
.

If they aren't willing to back him to the hilt, through thick & thin then they should get rid now imo. After yesterday, I no longer trust him to deliver quick success. I still trust his abilities to get it right eventually but he bottled it (again) & there's no guarantee he won't do the same if faced with the same situation. He is as much a 'project' as the club. He's not ready yet either in the Prem or in Europe.
We have to decide whether to keep him, mistakes and all or get a new bloke, who will also make mistakes.
As some have pointed out, it is becoming clear that a fair few of his signings have not worked out t the level required. We either allow him to try & remedy that or we let a new bloke come in & apply his thinking to it.
The problem with the second option is that, whilst you all think the new bloke will come in, get the best from Silva, sell Dzeko & Balotelli & bring in A+B, and everything is perfect, what actually happens in these circumstances could be more like;
New bloke arrives, sells Aguero, Lescott, builds side around Dzeko & Tevez, puts Silva on bench, insists on playing Kolarov & some shite Bolivian CB. Tevez asks for transfer at Christmas along with Silva.
Mancini: "He'll get the best out of Robinho, not like that Welsh knob" you said. He sold him.
Mancini got rid of Craig Bellamy. A few hotheads on here may have agreed but most City fans were mortified & rightly so, it was one of the all time worst managerial decisions but because he was replacing Hughes, he got away with it.
Your new bloke, will possibly do something similar ie: not what you want or expect.
Just making the point.

EEE wrote:Mancini (and the players) has made a mess of the last part of the season. Whether or not we make a turn around and win our last 6 games of the season - our drop in form has been remarkable. However, I fully believe that replacing Mancini would be a step back for us, at least looking over the coming 5 years. Mancini had us playing the best football in England and we were a pure joy to watch. He has made plenty of mistakes during the season and at points I think he's to stubborn to admit it and make corresponding changes. However, I'm sure he knows what's he's done wrong and I'm confident Mancini will up his act come next season. I truly believe he would get us playing at a more consistent level throughout next season.
The last six games of the season is key here though - they will clearly tell how Mancini get his act together, but more importantly - how the players responds to their manager´s guidance. If the team show true fighting spirit and grit come the last games of the season; Mancini is my man for the next season (seasons that should be).
Long term thinking is the most important thing here - and I think Mancini is a better bet than Mourinho/Guardiola and the other usual victims ppl drag up here.

actually I agree entirely
the only concern I have is that he isn't learning from his mistakes
