Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!
Forget all that shit about them having all the experience of this, they will be just as nervous as us, in fact more so.

The City players know it is all out of their hands and for City to have any chance, the rags have to fuck up. City are not expected to win the title and so the pressure is off and it is all down to the rags. We can't win it, the rags can only throw it away. It is interesting that when we were top, taggart was expounding how only they could win and City would collapse, yet now, when Bob denies our chances, taggart says it it still in the balance.

The converse is true for the rags. The pressure is on them. They can only lose it. It is theirs for the taking, but only if they perform and get the results. Remember, it was Taggart that coined the phrase "squeaky bum time", because he knows how nerve wracking it is. He knows his team are nervous and just because they have been here before, does not mean that they don't feel that pressure.

Seeing us tear the arse out of West Brom and Norwich will only serve to increase the pressure on his rags to get those results. Knowing that, despite their best efforts to close the goal difference, only to see us open it up again won't help his cause either.

Villa may be shit and a hopeless cause but should they have a go, who knows what may happen?

Anyone know who the ref is?
Would have sworn it would have been Howard Webb, but it's Mark Halsey.

On an optimistic note, I see that Villa have only lost four times away this season. At Arse, us, Spuds and Newcastle. They looked shit against us but it would seem they are quite resilient on the road and they did pick up results at Chelsea and Scouse. Come on Villa, do us a surprise favour.

Also optimistic is that this is the only game today so the rags know that all eyes will be on them to see if they can live up to their overhyped expectations. As long as the scum don't score first, villa have a chance

Nobody expected Wigan to win , they did
Nobody gave hearts a chance against Celtic. And with 10 mins to go they are 1-0 up
United had an easier group in Champions league and they didn't get thru
Anything can happen
That's why none of us will make ourselves millionaires backing football cos u can't predict

There is no doubt that City's performance and goals has put the best possible pressure on the rags. With that in mind but mostly Villa's ineptitude I'd say the best hope for anything here is for Villa NOT to score. If they keep it at 0-0 till the later stages then I'd fancy the chance of dragging out a very painful draw, as the rags get desperate to not only win but close the GD. If Villa score they will think they have got something and will promptly collapse.

Not sure I can stomach watching these wankers again.

I'd actually find it easier to see them play great football against a fully focused Villa side & win, & hold my hands up, rather than what I will most likely see; something shite & dodgy as fuck. The endless dodgyness is doing my head in.

But COME ON VILLA! Anyway.

That will be Aliens and the New World Order, don't worry about it, it will come to pass!

Going for a 1 - 1 draw with Villa taking an early lead and Utd scoring an equaliser in the 148th minute!

Shouldn't be long now before they announce the team with Emile Heskey in it.

Call me crazy, but I think they've had too many dodgy decisions go their way over the last month to get another today. If they get any today the bias will be too blatant for even the most hardcore scum supporter. So hopefully the refs know this too.

Be nice if he got among the goals. Half a dozen should do the trick.

Come on, Villa.

I don't think most of them do it conciously, they are just scared, so they tend to err on the side of not upsetting Ferguson in most cases & when they fail to give him anything less than 100% favouritism, he lets it be known, as in Phil Dowd's case v Wigan, when disallowing a perfectly good goal & failing to send off Johnny Evans for a blatant yellow card offence was not enough.
