Is There Bias In The Game?

Postby Beefymcfc » Sun Apr 15, 2012 7:13 pm

I hope the Lad's don't mind this but I was wondering where the board sits on this issue as at the moment it seems everybody is onto it.

So,a simple Poll, a few choices with regard to the feeling of bias/agenda/corruption in the game. You don't have to say why if you don't want, it's just be interesting to see where people sit.

You have a max of 3 choices as you may want to go for the first 3, you may just want to opt for one though. Your choice.

By media driven corruption I assumed you meant sky and the role they play in the corruption of the league and not just a few shit headlines about balo by rag journo's.

As I have said before in the "conspiracy theory" (FACTS) thread the scum won the league 7 times between 1878 and 1992 and went 26 years without a league title (only top tier titles count, we have heard this from the rags own mouths countless times when they sang 35 years so they can't count division 2) before sky came along and invented a new competition for them.

The prem is, has always been and will always be (while sky are the driving force behind it) CORRUPT AS FUCK and fixed.

I just wonder if the ref's enjoy doing it or if they start out innocently trying to make a living doing something they enjoy and are then drafted into it with the promise of never reffing a top flight game again if they don't comply.

Could I say that I think there is corruption and has been for ages but dont think it biased against us.For me its part of the game. The bias bit against us I do not believe. We are a victims of the corruption and in future other teams who try to change the order of things will notice it aswell.

There wont be "other" teams able to change the order. Thats the point. UEFA have gill and his cronies chipping away. if the game was still all terracing and meat and potato pie and rattles and baggy shorts it wouldnt be so covert. But when you have vested interest amounting to hundreds of millions things HAVE to happen. This isnt a gamble. If you have a vested interest it cant afford to be.

Fair one, that's what I'm asking so the choice would've been 'Straight as the Day is Long'.

Even if they are shit you are saying that they are making honest mistakes, so that's straight mate. They're still shit though.

Think there is some bias but if anyone looks hard enough they could make a case this season.some of the refs and linesmen have been piss poor.

a lot of the poor decisions come from refs trying to cover their own mistakes, not saying today's were but how many times have we seen them even things up when they have made a wrong decision? that's not bias or corruption but it does mean that they're not being straight...

I honestly believe the Premier League is no better than Serie A. It is so corrupt it is laughable.

In recent weeks I have seriously questioned whether it is worth continuing to follow my team on several occasions. I love City but really am struggling to see the point in spending time, money, effort and emotion on a game that is so obviously bent. I don't think for one minute that City are dodgy (although we would be in the perfect financial position to be so) but what is the point in investing so much in a competition we will not be allowed to win?

Presumably, we start to benefit from getting iffy decisions as one of the big clubs at some point. I wonder when it's gonna start because I'm getting seriously pissed off with the shite we cop. This season has been one of the worst I can remember for it.
Of course the Prem is corrupt. There is plenty of cash at stake, and where there is money, you will find corruption not far behind.

I don't want us to get iffy decisions though. I want to win the league fair and square. To win it like united would feel hollow. We are better than that.

Exactly Lee we start getting decisions like them and we are tainted just like their title will be this year coz make no bones about it they have to win it.Even MOTD last night when previewing MOTD2 had music saying destiny re:their title number 20 in the 20th year of the prem in slur's 25th year in charge.BENT AS TEN BOB FUCKIN NOTE THE LOT OF THEM.
