Somewhere there must be somebody, perhaps a young player, who can at least start to emulate him. We need to lookout for it.

When you look closely at his contribution stats compared to some others (as I've just mentioned in the Nige thread) it does start to make Mctavish's description of our usual strikers as 'traffic cones' appear less harsh.

Imo it has proved that we need such a player (something we didn't know until we actually saw him play with Aguero) & therefore has made the job of our scouts a bit easier; they know what they are looking for.

Perhaps. But Tevez is now 28 and I can't see any side shelling out 30 million on a 28 year old with that agent. And then there's his wages. The amount of goals he gets from simply closing down and putting defenders under pressure is fantastic. But he's also a fantastic finisher, passer dribbler and good in the air for a small man. He's a very, very unique player. One of a kind really and I've not seen anyone who I think can replace him.

Good in the air for a small man. made me laugh that. Would you have said that before he scored yesterday with his head? Is there another example of him heading the ball? I bet there is but I cant think of it but surely to say he is good in the air for a small man was unnecessary in your argument?

Didn't he score in the CC semi with his napper? Both legs come to think of it.

Scored a few with his head for us. Hence he's good in the air. Don't know what Doug's getting at.

Good in the air? I think he scored three headers that i've ever seen and only once did he actually leave the ground?

I wouldn't say that qualifies him as being "good in the air".

At the end of the day, if Tevez does or doesn't jump for a header he's still more likely to win one than fuckin Dzeko!!

Some of the one liners Tevez is coming out with are making me think he is looking further than the last few games, especially about a 'dream' of playing with Aguero 'his friend'. Just doesn't sound like someone who wants to leave.

Interesting situation for Bob to sort out come May.

I've got to admit, before Saturday I don't remember seeing Tevez scoring a header. But saying that I'm the guy who got that drunk for the FA Cup final that I don't remember walking in the stadium or any of the match....

Haha, years ago I went to Bury vs Chesterfield and got absolutely wankered before getting down to Wembley. I fell asleep on the bog just after half time and woke up to an empty stadium

Disagree completely. I'm nto saying he's a colossal in the air but for a small man he's very decent. Scored a good 6/7 goals for us with his head and scored a few with his head for the Rags. He puts himself about very well, you're just assuming he's small and therefore can't head the ball.

He's got better reactions than Dzeko or Balotelli & tries harder to get into goalscoring positions, so gets his head to a few & then has the composure & skill to finish.

Balotelli probably wouldn't have scored that header at Norwich as he would have gone for power (if he'd bothered) & either headed it over or hit the keeper, Dzeko would have probably got it on target but hit the keeper or given away a free kick, Tevez just bounced it gently over the keeper's head. Skill & composure.

Hat trick or not he should never have been allowed to wear a CITY shirt again and the golf swing is a disgraceful swipe at the management/owners.

The thing is, he's better than he ever was. That's scarey.

He'a cunt, but he's one of the best strikers in world football and he's hitting his prime. If his head was screwed on he could play well into his 30's but he keeps moaning that he wants to finish early.

He could actually drop further into midfield as he gets older.

Silly cunt. He annoys me so much.

Because he's probably my favourite city player and he's a stupid bastard.
