Knew that'd be questioned but I stand by it. Vidic and Ferdinand have been out for much of the season and he's stepped up. Hopefully he gets sent off in the derby again, but he would've been a fair nomination (if not anywhere near being the winner) for YPOTY, imo.

Simpson
Colocini
Lescott
Baines
Sessegnon
Dempsey
Cabaye
Sinclair
Ba
Holt
Sigurdsson and Cisse have had great half-seasons as well.

Id love us to sign Sigurdsson would be a great signing for us. Hard to argue with most of the list, id take Sinclair out though just not sure for who though, maybe gutirrez. Maybe Assou ekotto for baines too.

I know its subjective, but based on ratings and contributions to the team, baines is the stand out full back in the dream teams this year, which is odd, as ive never really seen him do a right lot.
And to think we have spent 35m on left backs in recent years but not seemingly been in for him., we should have just paid the money Gollum would have wanted to bum off us for baines, would have cost less in the long run.

I think its cos he takes penos and free kicks it bumps him up a lot but i like my left backs to defend first and foremost and baines isnt great at that in my opinion. Clichy is twice the player he is.

Have to say, he has been their main man since january
