don't know what Chelsea are thinking. they'll need more then a one goal advantage for the 2nd leg.

they need to push higher.

Drogba was both superb and laughable tonight. He gave Barca nightmares on the few occasions he was involved in any sort of attacking sense but then let himself down massively by feigning injury constantly. I am surprised the ref didn't book him for his cheating, diving as it became more and more laughable. But it did break the play up and give his team a little respite when they needed it.

If that hed been a Premier League game, Barca would now find themselves another 3 points behind the rags.

It doesn't matter that they had loads of possession & missed chances, they got fucking beat, & that was against a Chelsea team who were much worse in possession than they would usually be, because they were nervous playing Barca.

Chelsea played like many sides have dfone v us & the commentators were talking about how much slower Barca's passing seemed to be etc etc, the very same criticisms levelled against us. If Chelsea can ride their luck & keep out Barca, so can Liverpool or Everton on their grounds if luck (or a ref) is with them. Imagine that Barca side, facing the same kind of shit every week, over winter, in the pissing freezing rain, & then take Lionel Messi out & see how they get on. EVERYTHING went through Messi.

That's the Premier League & that's why you need a plan B to succeed in it.

THIS
That game reminded me of us against the likes of Everton, Swansea Stoke, West Brom etc. All the possession but no cutting edge.

would be quite funny to see those arrogant cunts ousted by the 6th placed PL side. "la liga - a league in decline."

glad You have a steady opinion, even when the world's champions are involved.... and perhaps you are slowly slowly realizing that the City manager is not that clueless clown you had wondered for so long. and.... as someone wiser than me use to point out... they have Messi!

A decent performance by Chelsea to stifle the better side but I don't see what everyone is getting excited about, they will get dicked in Barcelona.

I thought Drogba played superb in all aspects. His hold-up play and the way he ran at the defence from midfield put Barca on the back foot. What I noticed is that he didn't start falling until Barca were getting more and more freekicks, from that point he seemed to take the approach that if the ref's giving it to them, he's got to give it to us. Seemed to be getting his own back for the last game at the bridge.

1-0 may not see them through but the effort put it tonight showed that Barc are beatable. Chelsea have got a chance, and I'm sure they'd have taken that before they kicked off.

Good effort all-round.

Did anyone see when Puyol was showing Terry that he had an injured wrist? Terry grabbed it and shook! Practicing for QPR?

I thought Drogba was great at distracting Barca with his antics, whilst it was horrible to watch the technique was effective. What's with the screaming like a pig when he goes down? That really annoys me.

That's fair enough but he's been a different manager at Real.

I actually think it could be a shit final if they play each other though because he will probably try to wind Barca up rather than play them at football.
