Harry Dowd? I remember my father told me he had to play up front when he was injured in the days before subs (or might have been one sub & we'd used it up) and he scored, not sure it was the last though.

Joe Hart scored against LA Galaxy in the penalty shoot out but I guess that doesn't count as a competitive game.

The answer i was looking for was Harry Dowd who scored against Bury after breaking his finger whilst playing in goal and subsequently moved in to the centre forward role for the rest of the match.

I cheated and googled it! Was interesting to see that we have the first known example of a goalkeeper scoring by Charlie Williams.
