barca's style can bore me quite a bit. Gets kind of monotonous after the 400th 5 yard pass

edit: i spoke 2 mins too soon, 1-1

Credit to Mourinho. They played tactical football tonight & won.

Imo this is probably good for the game as various numpties were starting to believe that football can only be played by 11 short passing dwarves, without taking into account that one of those dwarves is Lionel Messi.

There is plenty to admire & imitate from Barca's game but without Messi they would need something different, & may need that anyway from now on as people are discovering the antidote.

wow!
I really can get my head at what I've seen in el Clasico!
I know it might be dismissed with the point the our senior posters always point out: the best manager is just the one who makes lesser mistakes... but fuck me, Pep has been well far OTT, tonight.
I' ve been followed and admired him along his career and has always been a clever footballer either on the pitch and on the bench. as per Mancini. he always seemed me like someone born to play and manage football: he has even been such an humble person to end his playing career playing in a second string Serie A club, just to esperience the most tactical league, etc.

now, I mean, wtf was blowing in his mind to stick with 2 youngster in such a huge game, leaving the likes of Cesc, Sancez and Pedrito on the bench until it was clearly to late? particularly that Tello lad has shown to be be blatantly out of his depth and feel the pressure of the game and crowd toooooo much. what if those two glorious chances had been assisted to Sanchez/Pedro i.o. Tello?
for what Barca have been certainly in a poor vein of form by late, the game could have been overturned if Guardiola had changed Tello for Sanchez and Alcantara for Fabregas at half time. and I really cannot see those lads would have felt any offence if the manager had moved to more expirenced weapons earlier on.

seemed like he was making an application for retirement to the board...

on a very side note - and I know this is an easy venue to make such remark - but what a horrible cheating arrogant twat Tranny is?

1. "unintelligible language"
2. "ACID QUEEN"
3. "never once fails to turn a football thread into a himseelf thread"
4. "thumbs stalker often resulting in repetitive thumb strain"
5. ignore the cunt. he's on permantent wum mission. only TIDs may know City

You'd need to make a very good psychiatrist in order to guess what next in a eight yrs long line of hatred...

I see and respect the point You are making there, but do not miss that - apart from the very personal feeling/remarks I get from the game, as reported in my post above - they have been missing the first striker, and we all have understood comparing City v. Arse with City v. WBA and Norwich, what a huge difference that lack may cause in that kind of footy. It seems to remember that this point had been eloquently dissertated by a certain Ted Hughes, a very decent bloke... :-)

Everton already had two great chances to get a goal and fucked up both.
Can't see manure keeping a clean sheet.

Strange selection to break up your CB pairing, especially when Heitinger has played at LB before.
